I wonder if no news is good news regarding the hyped Kane and Ange talks yesterday.

Surely if Kane had made it clear he wants away then his Charlie Chalk brother would be right on the phone to Bayern. If that had been the case, the puppet that is Plettenberg would have been on Twitter faster than you can say lederhosen.

I think it was Ornstein on SSN that pretty much nailed it last night. Kane genuinely wants to keep his options open, whilst also being in no rush to sign a new deal, nor need to desperately force a move.

Doesn't make for the best news but the likelihood is that Harry is relaxed and open knowing he has more control over his destiny than ever before due to the contract situation.

That also aligns with what Ange said in his press conference. Their meeting yesterday was probably more focused on plans for the new season rather than any great showdown talks.

Well it does at least counter the Bayern-led narrative that he's desperate to leave and play for them.

Never believed that anyway but encouraging that reliable journos are saying he's open to all options rather than being dead set on leaving.

He would be absolutely mad to do anything else at the moment.

It's why I don't get why the German media are so set on him being desperate to go there. It's pure bias

His team is fabricating/leaking interest in going to Bayern to flush out other suitors, and possibly crank up the pressure on Levy- whether on the new contract he'll be offered, or in landing the signings to restore our lost competitiveness. He wants to keep his name out there, he loves being the talk of the town.

Hot Ones: "Whats the best football chant?"
Kane: "Tottenham sings "He's one of our own" and it hits me hard"

He's staying boys

Edit: That question is asked at the 15:48 mark in the video above

Breaks on the milk early on but actually does a great job toughing it out later on. Certainly compared to some others I've seen (Gordon Ramsey, Kevin Hart).
