If Bostock's good enough, age should not be a factor. He's bigger than O'Hara physically anyway so it's not like he wouldn't be able to hand the physical side of the game.

The difference is, Bostock is 16, O'hara is 21. There is a hell of alot of development between 16 to 21, so really Ramos bringing O'hara into the team is very different to giving Bostock a go.

If anything O'Hara was late. Lennon and Huddlestone are both younger than him.

I wonder whether the emergence of man cities dirahams was what stopped our striker being signed, DL comments suggested that we thought we had it tied up until agents scuppered it.. I.e did an agent tell huntelaar to hold fire untilk Jan as Man City would double his wages !!

No, Ajax said he wasn't going anywhere because they'd not be able to find a replacement. Much more likely the 'experienced' striker was Heskey or Owen.

Nice information and a good read!

Re: Bostock

I saw talk somewhere either on here or somewhere else, that Bostock was viewed by Ramos as a future defensive midfielder?

From what reports say Bostock is the kinda player that controls games with his passing so this could turn out to be a very good thing (especially if he partners the goal scoring Dean Parrett in our future team!).

It would probably take a bit of time to train Bostock into his role so maybe that we delay his senior debut?

I really hope the JDS rumours are true. He and Bostock in the heart of midfield would be awesome.
