I should imagine asking price and wages is a stumbling block, specially for someone like N'Dombele. Even Rodon went out on loan rather than a straight sale and he's barely kicked a ball for us.We’re a long time trying to shift deadwood it seems. Starting to wonder is it a case that clubs don’t want the hassle of dealing with Levy rather than our surplus players being so bad.
No. Our deadwood are crap players on huge wages. They are last resort options for other teams and those teams are going to want the best deal they can get to have to stomach taking these players on.We’re a long time trying to shift deadwood it seems. We got one last week. With a better pedigree imo.Lots of context , some of which you missed to suit your argument to be fair.
This isnt a thread for the big picture but in terms of strikers I dont think people who want Kane replaced are being outlandish and they can certainly make an argument considering Kane's contribution that mid table beckons.
It's all about opinions I guess as I'd like to get someone like Orban ( a young up and coming striker) and go all out for a winger who can play either flank and beat a man but that looks unlikely too.
Well Ange has said he's not ready to be involved so I'd like one to put pressure on Richy/Son this season. We got one last week. With a better pedigree imo.
And you think that should be one with even less first team experience and experience around a professional club generally ?Well Ange has said he's not ready to be involved so I'd like one to put pressure on Richy/Son this season.
When did levy want 40m for Harry Winks and where was this reported?Harry Winks as an example, Levy initially wanted £40m, when he could have easily shifted an academy player for half that, in the end went to Leicester for £10m. Could put the stadium naming rights into the same bracket, Levy has a figure in mind, as a result we're 4 years without naming rights deal for arguably one of the best sporting arenas in the world.
No, I said like Orban. And you think that should be one with even less first team experience and experience around a professional club generally ?
A few years back, think it may have been Everton who enquired when Lampard was in charge. When did levy want 40m for Harry Winks and where was this reported?
I asked you a question, why you would want a player less experienced than one we have just signed, who yourself, say isn’t ready based on Ange’s own comments. Hardly an attempt at a gotcha moment. Just trying to understand the love in that a player with limited experience seems to have. No, I said like Orban.
I would presume they like him to challenge the squad u less they're just assembling the best under 23 team strike force in the country
I've freely admitted not seeing Orban beyond clips.
Tell you what kingnick , you tell me how you would like the squad /team being build and we can have a conversation rather than you trying a gotcha moment.

add that to most of these guys having an inflated view of where they stand and where they are willing to play (or being a year away from a free agent move) and it was always going to be almost impossible to move them at all or at least until the closing days of the window
We literally signed a striker a week ago.the silence is almost deafening! Been linked with Orban and ITK to confirm there have been talks. And then ,as is often the way there is a lull in any information. No new ITK, nothing new from the media other than regurgitating the same stories.
Not many credible links to other strikers
I would love to know what is going on! i don't have the patience for this!
the difference is we've sold a world class striker since thenWe literally signed a striker a week ago.
What makes Veliz different than Orban? They both play in weaker leagues and are high potential signings.
Richy, Son, Scarlett, Veliz appears to be the pecking order right now. If we get Orban, great. But we can afford to wait a few weeks to see if the price comes down. He's not a make or break for our season, and he's DEFINITELY not going to come in and start from day 1.
When he was in or out of our match day squad/team?A few years back, think it may have been Everton who enquired when Lampard was in charge.
How would you proceed?I asked you a question, why you would want a player less experienced than one we have just signed, who yourself, say isn’t ready based on Ange’s own comments. As for “similar”, I don’t think there are many/any young players we should be bringing in and relying on in support of Richy. Veliz will come along in his own time. Instead, we need a ready made senior CF. The ITK has been that both Muani and Vlahovic were not against moves here. I am not sure PSG can do Muani now given their FFP position and Mbappe staying and their other incomings.
Regarding the naming rights, I'm fully on board with not selling our soul for cheap.Harry Winks as an example, Levy initially wanted £40m, when he could have easily shifted an academy player for half that, in the end went to Leicester for £10m. Could put the stadium naming rights into the same bracket, Levy has a figure in mind, as a result we're 4 years without naming rights deal for arguably one of the best sporting arenas in the world.
I just said. I think we should go for established CFs like Muani and Vlahovic. How would you proceed?
My point was I think we need compensation for Richy and Son but I'd rather go big on a wide player so a younger striker profile fits as they wouldn't demand to play and they would be cheaper than an established striker
I don’t disagree. I’m not someone who thinks we should throw money at everything and it will solve all of our problems. To be honest mate, lots of posters are happy to sell low and buy high just to see deals happening.
A lot easier to spend someone else’s money right?
