Feels good having Nuno representing our club, he's always respectful compared to Jose ...
Yep the vibe is so much more positive with Nuno instead of Jose.

He keeps it simple and respectful in the press conferences, no fuss, no drama just hard work, dedication, passion, commitment and ambition.

The football isn’t scintillating but it’ll improve in time with more coaching and more new signings.

6 points from 6, all very positive :)

After those two games I can say we look like what I thought we would under Mourinho. Counter attacking, solid at the back, defending as a team. But he is more likeable.

See if Traore rolls the ball around Lloris and taps into an empty net then there would be a post in place of yours complaining that nothing has changed, saying he's out of his depth and that he's yet another student of Mourinho playing boring football here. Fine margins. I will agree with your final point though - he definitely seems more likeable which in terms of getting the players to go the extra mile for him, is very important.

Unless we make further additions to the squad then I'd like to see him go back to the 3-4-3 he used to play at Wolves. Chelsea showed today with James how effective a wing-back ghosting into the box can be, I keep saying this but why does he not give Lucas a go in this position like he first did with Traore - we can't expect to be creative with Dele, Hojbjerg and Skipp in midfield and with the right-back expected to give the attacking support being Tanganga.

thats a very solid 3 points, away at wolves not a classic performance but another good display! and a useful 3 points...what's a little bit funny is that we won and the reaction to this thread has been slow! had we drew lost I suspect it would have grown more than a page and a half!

I think you could argue we rode our lack and only looked good in short bursts

We all hated that last year, so people are a little shy of patting him on the back.

We also need to make sure we have a plan B - that was one of Mou’s main issues

But it’s a solid start for sure. Clear the team needs improving though. Basically in every department, but certainly a passer in midfield

But to be perfectly honest that was their only clear cut chance in the game. And to be even more honest I think we where poor yesterday! We did not know how to keep the ball, Kane introduction changed it little bit. But that's second game against tough opponent which we won. We went through difficult moments becase we where solid and organized. I'm sure we cannot play like this all the time because it will not and like yesterday all the time. But I just want to give credit that after two games, with weaker squad the year ago we look more like a team.

agree I wasn't expecting big pages of people saying he is the next pep or poch I just thought there might have been more debate about the way the team is starting to play as a collective or subtle differences people maybe noticing that he should or has changed just wondering ...if it's because people are still sussing him out or if they are still a bit meh about him.

This is what I like about him. He knows that we need to be better rather than patting himself on the back. Here is a quote from his interview on the Official Site-
“You have to stay concentrated. Molineux is a tough place. We started well, good dynamics, but then we lost a little control. They are relentless, but we showed more, I think. I’m very proud of the team because we went until the end. We knew it was going to be a hard task and the boys did amazing. We are trying to be solid, compact and the good games will come, the good situations will come.”

I think the Watford game will be interesting as we will be the team having to play on the front foot after two games where really we were always going to be the counter attacking side.

A week to train for it with the game on thursday a good practice for it too so hopefully enough time for him to flip the switch and try and dominate the game more. I'm probably wrong without looking at the stats, but Watford at home always seems to be harder than the away game in recent times.

1,000% agree.

If this was Jose he’d have been raving about how good we are etc but Nuno is modest and calm and realistic.

He also said in another quote about judging players fairly based on different circumstances.

He might not be the most exciting guy around but he’s very likeable, calm and solid and I think a lot of our players will like that and it will he’ll us to create better squad unity etc.

For 80 minutes, we were on back foot. CM had not much control of the game.Son & Lucas had their worst games in a way - couldn't keep hold of the ball whenever it came to them.

But moment a no9 Kane entered the field, as a team, we moved up and we even saw Hojbjerg get inside the box late in the game.

So, its not like Nuno told them to play defensive football yesterday. It's pretty clear to me, there is definite change in Jose vs Nuno style.

Once Kane settles (or if we get a proper replacement), by design of the way Nuno sets us up, we will play forward in more than most gams

It's going to be difficult to dominate possession with so few players who are comfortable on the ball, hopefully that gets rectified to some degree over the next week or so.

Who'd have thought a manager that doesn't make the players feel like useless ****s is a better fit ...

i think the problem yesterday was the lack of a number 8 to progress the ball properly.Gio isn’t fit enough and Tanguy wants to leave so I don’t know how Nuno will fix that problem as the season goes on. Would be nice if we could keep Sarr for the season.

If Sonny is struggling I wouldn't be surprised if he starts Kane, which should theoretically help everyone.

I think by far the most encouraging thing from him so far was that Son was anonymous and Nuno rightly subbed him off.

Bergwijn in the second half was the only one of the front 3 starters having a good game. Typically we'd see that he'd be subbed off regardless of performance but instead Nuno replaced the two underperforming players regardless of who they were. Great to see.
