wow people on here do like a knee jerk reaction or two followed by the throwing of toys from prams?

Strange we only heard about this a few months ago. Already they’re handing out punishments! Was Paratici and the rest of them interviewed? Was there a hearing? Were they able to put forward a defense with legal representation? Funny none of our ITKs or Ally Gold didn’t mention anything about Paratici being interviewed or going to a hearing?
Sounds a lot like a Star Chanber sort of justice!
There is no way they don’t appeal. Remember Man City we’re found guilty of cooking the books to get around FFP and after an appeal nothing happened to them.
Yes… this was the appeal! They were going not guilty first time around - so the prosecutors appealed the decision.

Now Juve will appeal against the appeal…

Yeah, so much for Levy not staying involved in transfer dealings. It's not like he can let del boy Paratici run the show now is it.

Juve are a pretty dirty club, scheming and cheating in major ways to claim an edge. The old lady should have had far more serious punishments than we've seen them get so far. There should be stronger disincentives for cheating on match fixing previously, and cooking the books now.

And Paratici should not be kept on at Spurs.

I really don't see how Levy is going to skirt the blame for this one. Spurs are a multi billion pound business that were hiring for a position that pays millions of pounds a year. It's really not that hard to do a thorough background check on somebody for a position like this. It's pretty standard practice.

So he's guilty of not being a part-time prosecutor and going through Juve's books? The investigation wasn't public then.

There wasn't even a suspicion when he came to us. What would the magic background check have found?

He had references and no criminal record.

Public or not companies hire people to do thorough background checks on people just like Paratici all the time. They have a way of finding out info just like this. You're telling me you ask the right people the right questions around Italian football and you're hearing absolutely nothing about Paratici? I'm not buying that.

I literally work for one of these companies. We had the FBI do an investigation into someone. Got the all clear. He killed around 50 people in a mass shooting. We were cleared of any wrongdoing. Levy will be fine. Only fans with unreasonable points of view will think he should know.

Shame Paratici wasn't involved in the N'Dombele transfer , we could ask for our money back for underhand dealings.

Does it matter that he was involved in financial chicanery, both Messi & Ronaldo were guilty of tax evasion but they didn't get banned from football. I expect this will drag on with appeals etc. and as Paratic is an EU citizen could even end up going to the ECJ or CAS.

PS Won't be the first time Spurs have employed dodgy characters , hands up all those who think we should strike the 1991 FA Cup from our records for employing Venables who was involved in the Sheringham transfer.

This is why I never wanted Paratici at the club. I’ve been vocal on how much of a fraud I think he is. The guy is a blatant criminal and should never ever have been appointed by Daniel Levy. Paratici can’t be allowed to continue to work for Tottenham. Neither can Levy. They both need to get the fuck out of the club.

He was hired 2yrs ago I think with negotiations extending further back. exactly how was DL to know the inner workings at Juventus? Why is there this constant need to BASH DL..... I'm not close to being a supporter of his workings but at least try to be balanced in your criticism. Levy has no control or knowledge of the inner workings at another club.
Exactly why these things go through a process to find out what happened. It's not possible for us to know, if he is proven to have done nothing wrong then all is good. Even if he appeals we have to wait and see what happens. We may release him but we wasn't to know the income of the investigation. I would just hope and expect we have contingency plans in case as they would have know this verdict was coming. That's what DL should be judged on.
