Looking at the teams remaining in the competition, I still believe we can win this.

I think we tend to plauy better against the better teams, so not really too fussed who we get - I honestly don't think there's anyone left in there that I don't think we could beat over 2 legs.

Looking at those lists it really didn't mean shit that we finished second in the group.

Don't want us to go to Greece or Moscow. Any of the others is fine. Bet we get Zenit.

  • Borussia Monchengladbach
  • Club Brugge
  • Red Bull Salzburg
  • Dynamo Moscow
  • Inter Milan
  • Feyenoord
  • Napoli
  • Dynamo Kiev
  • Fiorentina
  • Legia Warsaw
  • Athletic Bilbao
  • Olympiakos
  • Sporting Lisbon
  • Zenit
Looking at the list i think we would need to get one of Club Brugge, Legia Warsaw, Feyenoord or Dynamo Moscow in order to have a good chance of going through.

One of Red Bull Salzburg, Athletic Bilbao, Dynamo Kiev, Olympiakos or Borussia will be a tough test.

One of Inter, Fiorentina, Napoli, Sporting Lisbon or Zenit and we are finished.

Very pessimistic view. Fiorentina are a mid-table team. Inter are no better than they were when we beat them a couple of seasons ago. From a footballing perspective, Napoli and Zenit are the teams we'd most want to avoid. Wouldn't want Zenit, Dynamo Moscow or Dynamo Kyiv for the traveling distance.

Which team is furtherst away, has the worst weather conditions, has some sort of civil war going on in its country and has a cows patch of a pitch? If you can answer this then you'll know who we'll be drawn against.

Inter are absolutely awful at the moment!

If we play Zenit then they will have to change the rules and allow a second football in play so that both teams can pass it around sideways and backwards in their own halves for 180 mins of the two legs...

Or they could just go straight to the penalty shootout.
