Having read what he said in todays paper it is clear that Dier is fully on board with Jose style of management and it bodes well for the future as I am sure he is not the only one . Perhaps Ndombele is not so on board but lets hope the rest are .

I think he has been immense since he has been put at CB, he would get into any top 4 team and has got ahead of Toby here (speaks volumes). Obviously we need to see a full season with a fully fit dier to see if he can do it consistently. He leads and from what I have seen he is now the first choice CB at spurs.

What's a bit strange is all the noises we we're hearing about playing in his preferred position. I always thought CM was his main choice. He clearly wasn't happy with poch.

Anyway dier (26) and dav (24) could be an awesome partnership for the future with Toby as third choice we are pretty well stocked at CB now.

Dier wouldn’t get in any other top four sides. He is guaranteed to make a few critical mistakes every game just like at Utd and sheff Utd and today for the palace goal. He’s slow and his passing is hit and miss. Should’ve been sold when his value was high years ago. Sanchez has been quality with Toby and that should be the pair for next season

So he wouldn't start for Chelsea or City?

Let's be honest, either side would be better with him in it. He's missed 4 games through suspension, and put straight back in but whether we agree with it or not, it's hardly his fault.

He was probably our best player since the restart before the suspension. We need quality options all over the team including strength in depth.

Always has a big mistake in him (the cheap free-kick and yellow, which nearly led to Dann scoring), much prefer the Toby, Sanchez partnership

Yesterday, dier played solid. His aggressive header in the middle of the pitch led to the first goal. I have rarely seen sanchez aggressively heading the ball like this way ...

Pretty unnecessary to bash Sanchez here unless you have some sort of agenda.

According to Poch book back in 2017 or 2018 he published, it was Dier who wanted to play as cdm and poch told him his final position will always be cb but Dier argued, and now After injury ravaged two season, Dier understood CB is his best position.

Pretty unnessary to keep mentioning Sanchez on a Dier thread so surely if people do mention him then surely there is a right to reply ! and anyway mentioning how a player heads the ball away is hardly bashing, so can we take that you are a Sanchez fan ?

Think you should also talk about mistakes that lead to goals as well. Can't remember Sanchez making too many since the restart.

He needs way more games under his belt as he is still learning the position. A worthwhile investment hopefully. That being said he really needs to work on his concentration.

In a mourinho team the centre backs have to be the lynch pin you can't give away cheap goals as we might only score one.

We have 3 good centrebacks in addition to tanganga... let’s all stop moaning.
One thing which is true though is if we actually buy some good full backs, we’ll notice how good all of those 3 can be as this is the major weakness.
