“New owner in big spend during first transfer window” shocker.

The test was always going to be whether he could or would sustain the spending in the long term, as Abramovich did.
He or they have not bought Chelsea to fight for mid table, he is more than aware that they are a successful football club of modern times which needs to stay that way for them.
But the point was that particular people were immensely excited when the news broke of RA demise and informed us in great detail that they were finished.
When people like myself said they would not be we were castigated for it including yourself I believe that we are wrong.
But as you can see that was not the case and Chelsea are probably the highest spenders again.
Although not Levy's fault as such but you saw last week that we still have a way to go to match them properly as we were outclassed for long periods and tactically but managed to get a fortune draw so well done for the spirit but a lot to do still to really match these clubs.

I haven’t previously commented on Boehly or Chelsea’s future under him. You must be thinking of someone else.

And, once again, there’s no surprise that Chelsea have spent plenty this summer. Boehly was hardly going to come in and spend a pittance in his first transfer window. The question is whether he will sustain spending and support of Chelsea’s losses at Abramovich levels. Highly unlikely, I’d say. It’s an entirely different investment model.

Relevance is you called it wrong
How did I call it wrong? Boehly has only been there 5 minutes. Whatever happens the days of endless dirty Russian money are over for Chelsea, now they'll have to act like a normal club.

But again, what's the relevance of this to Boehly having failed to take over Spurs?

And don't tell me you'd prefer to be in Chelsea's position right now run by Boehly's consortium than us under ENIC???

If so, you need to have a word with yourself and go support the scum.

I wouldn't waste your time boys. It's been the same rhetoric from certain posters for years now. When Enic/DL are doing things well they vanish. But they aren't gone they are merely lurking in the shadows, waiting for literally any opportunity to set fire to the clubs hierarchy.

I don't know what your on but I never mentioned him taking over spurs you have got it wrong again.
You crawled out of enics backside to tell us the Chelsea reign was over.
But us mere mortals who said it wouldn't be the case were told different.
You just need to own your fuck mate and stop trying to twist your shit onto other people.

What have they got wrong? Most thought Boehly would spend big in his first transfer window but said let's see what balancing the books look like for Chelsea. I think that's reasonable to assume.
You're the one that seems to be putting words in people's mouths to suit your anti ENIC agenda

Everyone knew he was going to spend big this Summer because he basically said they had to address the contract, and sanction caused problems they had built up. It was in his buy out proposal to do so. He's also said they'll be run as a sustaining entity in the future, which he believes his business model will allow them to do and remain successful.

Like I said though, easier to just let the haters hate than actually engage them, as it's always the same handful regardless of the subject matter where Enic are concerned.

Indeed. The fact that Chelsea now have to talk about a "business model" shows that times have changed.

Can they pull off balancing the books and remaining successful, given they don't have the facilities we have? It seems unlikely to me and it's certainly far, far from guaranteed. Either way, the bottomless money tap will be turned off.

I really dont know why you have to be so rude and disrespectful when someone disagrees with you. The above sentence is absurdly aggressive. Happily disagree. But you seem to turn everything into a fight. I don’t get it. To each their own, I suppose.

It's because he's wrong on this whole issue, and he knows it.
