Weirdly actually bugs me when reporters now call it WHL.Just call it New White Hart Lane and be done with it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don’t Nike get the money from shirt sales (unless through the club shop)? That’s why they pay us £££’s in sponsorship money to be our kit manufacturer- they make money from kit sales. And the more kits you sell the bigger the sponsorship deal next time you renew.Been told Nike sent a hundred thousand new shirts out to Korea last week and they have sold out.

Really? I thought that’s what everyone wanted. A return to the proper name rather than a soulless bowl named after some random company nobody has ever heard of.
Yeah, clubs only get 7-10% from the shirt sales.Correct me if I am wrong, but don’t Nike get the money from shirt sales (unless through the club shop)? Google Amazon and Apple competing for latest NFL TV rights. We may have seen nothing yet in terms of PL media earning potential. Sky days are numbered no way they are fighting off that lot.
Not keen tbh. It’s just herding everyone into more and more little echo chambers. Part of the joy of beating United is seeing their pundits have a meltdown.Just look at the MLB. There are streams for every game, each game is then spilt into two streams one for the home and one for away fans to watch. Each of those streams has more emphasis on that team, commentators with more relevance to your team, more stats about your team.. etc etc. Not just Alan Smith for every Spurs game and Gary Nev chirping up about does Kane look happy.
Imagine that... or even the in-game stuff totally team specific and the pre-game, halftime and fulltime stuff done back in a central studio..? The sports coverage on Apple+ is very very tidy and well presented.

I’m also yet to be convinced that the Streaming based platforms can reliably stream live football. There have been plenty of lagging and quality issues with the Amazon stuff so far.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the premier league insisted on matches being on broadcast tv for the time being.
We won’t get that though. Our pundits do fuck all research and just talk in cliches. I can’t see that changing any time soon. Can always use these annoying pundits for big games. But to have analysts that know your team and discuss the ins and outs as your team plays is a far more preferable option. Just my experience.

Absolutely agree on the first bit, part of the fun is discussing what a wanker Martin Tyler is with other fansNot keen tbh. It’s just herding everyone into more and more little echo chambers. Part of the joy of beating United is seeing their pundits have a meltdown.

I believe those odds are just a reflection of punter activity in the UK. So it's not so much "the eyes of the football world", it's just where people have put their money on in this country.I do not know if anyone else has bothered yet, but I went on odds checker to look at the current odds of us winning the CL
I was surprised to see that we are starting out 8th Favourite at 18-1. Ahead of us were Man City, Pool, PSG, Bayern, Real, Chelsea at 14-1 , Barcelona at 14-1.
Behind us were everyone else including Juve.
Considering we have been out of the competition 3 years or so, and before it had started, it was a kind of sense check as to where we are in the eyes of the football world today.

Bizarrely when you remove the other 3 Uk clubs,PSG Bayern Real and Barca are the only non uk clubs rated higher than us.
Now before everyone jumps down my throat that the season has not started, and we have won nothing etc I agree!
However I have always felt that anyone rated in the top 8 by the bookies, has afighting chance of winning a competition, if the sporting gods smile on them.
Even more wierdly since Abramovic has gone i honestly feel we are better than Chelsea. It shows me how much we have strentgthened so far. On a separate note after our previous final there, i wonder how we would have fared under AC, and/or how far away we are really now.
if the players we have bought, and continue to buy, gel then we may be a lot closer than anyone thinks.
Its also strange but i think today, the Champions league is probably an easier competition than the EPL. Just ask Liverpool!
It is probably easier to win than the Premier League
No, this isn't how the market works in football these days. Markets are typically very good predictors of results, otherwise the big hitters soon get them into line.I believe those odds are just a reflection of punter activity in the UK. So it's not so much "the eyes of the football world", it's just where people have put their money on in this country.
If you were to do the same thing for Italian markets I would suggest the Italian clubs all feature above us. The same goes for the other main markets.
What might be interesting would be to check odds in non-competitive markets such as Sweden or Poland, or go further afield and check Brazil, Argentina, USA, Iran etc. Anywhere that doesn't have a dog in the fight. I wouldn't know how to do that but it would be a more "accurate" snapshot than UK markets.
