I think Poch would back himself to get the best out of Dele, and would try to get him on the cheap.

Poch wouldn't have a say in transfer dealings. It's Woodward that would have to deal with Levy and Dele is contracted until 2024.

Why the sarcastic tone, its hardly that farfetched if Poch ended up there.

Not sarcasm, reality. And as for cheap. Levy won’t be letting him go cheap to anywhere.

I will win this debate with two words...

Harry Maguire

Well, no you don't. Player prices have plummeted since then, also Maguire was looking a decent player when they bought him. Dele has been out of form for years.

Dele is a class player but he doesn't fit with how we want to play as he slows down the play too much and he's quite a niche/specialist player.

Makes sense to therefore move the asset on if that would fund a top class CB and DM and/or upgrade one of our back-up AM's then we will have everything we need.

Just curious. Can you name other "class players" who slows down the play too much for their team?

Levy would eat Woodward alive. It would be a blood bath. We’d probably end up getting Fernandes and cash for Dele.

Cant see any top clubs coming in for him at this point. Doubt he would like to go to clubs like Palace, Newcastle or West Ham.
Hope he some patience, and that he we find himself again. Really like Alli. Its a kinda fairytale. We picked him up for nothing, he performed from day one....until he hit a wall last year.

yeah. Cos my 1st signing at a new club would be a player woefully out of form, that’s no better than the current midfielders they have.
And they have plenty in the spot Dele would compete with, this would be the last area of the Utd squad that needs addressing

Grealish to an extent. Thomas Muller (ghosts into the box, no pace). Sheringham used to. Firminiho, Siggurdson.

I’d say all of those to an extent slow the play down in a way or they certainly don’t tend to speed it up. Dele just absoloutley doesn’t suit playing in a counter attacking team!

He broke all the midfielder goalscoring PL records for his age and when we were at our peak under Poch with Eriksen whipping balls into him and Toby and Dier playing balls over the top to his 3rd man runs he was brilliant, he’s since then had a lot of injuries, taken his eye off the ball a bit and has lost confidence, I think he’s still a class player but for a number of reasons isn’t a good fit for us at the moment unfortunately.

3 years ago today he was scoring 2 goals and setting up a 3rd against Real Madrid in the champions league and had the world at his feet. Needs a big game on Thursday to get him back in to some sort of contention.

The only place I see Dele fitting is in the forward line doing what Son does. His focus should be on getting into the box in behind the defence. Yes he slows the game down far too much from midfield but if he's in that front line and told to attack the box he'll get his form back.

It's definitely a confidence thing, gone are the flicks and one touch tricks that were a hallmark of Deles imperious displays because I think he's trying to play a supporting role rather than a finishing one.

Problem is who he gets in ahead of when he's competing with Lucas, Bergwijn, Lamela, Bale and Son.

Poch will sign him at United

Would be typically United as that is not a position they need a player in. It is Brunos and van de Beeks best position, and they have Mata too. Wouldn't be too worried if they splash a nice sum for him.
