Find it strange that people can't entertain the idea that people might be interested what our ex-manager might do next tbh as if we live in a vacuum where we can only focus on current spurs.

I have to laugh when spurs fans think he’s brilliant for say Everton (project etc) but not good enough for City. We all know (and it’s plain denial otherwise) he will land a Top (top) job.

Hes already done 2 projects, he could hardly have got much more out of either now is the time to move up a level. Most people dont move horizontal through their careers.

You’re right. I don’t see any sense in him going to Everton at all which, if anything, is a very similar but much more challenging version of the job he has just lost. He will undoubtedly attract much more successful clubs than Everton and going to an elite club where he will have a realistic opportunity to be challenging for trophies immediately seems like the next logical step in his career.

Hopefully where ever he ends up he gets the right title to work under and has cheered up a bit.

Every move that he's made in his managerial career has been up so logically the next step would be to a team primed to win.
He was being asked about Madrid a few weeks ago, he was reportedly hoping for the United job, he said he'd like to manage PSG one day...so no way he goes for Arsenal, Everton etc.

I know for a fact he's very very well liked at PSG and they'd love to have him there. However, they do like Tuchel and what he's doing but if they get knocked out of the CL or Tuchel makes glances elsewhere I'd put serious money on him going there.

and I agree. But this banging on re “what’s he won” is tedious. Considering the tiny % of clubs that have won and relative budgets.

Budget isn't always a factor though. In our case we've had a top top side for the last 5 years and irrelevant of our budget, it's criminal that we've got fuck all silverware to show for it

We dont know what Poch expected but in the last 2 years seemed to be more of an Eriksen than a Kane.Infact their timing co-insided

IMO. We’ve been punching above our weight for 4/5 years.

it’s not “criminal” we’ve come mightily close recently (I know apparently it means jack shit).

99 pc of the time spend = position. We were the exception.

Fair enough dude. That's your opinion.

My opinion as I've said a lot on here, is that we have not overachieved in the last 4-5 years. We should have been getting top 4 with the players we've had/got.

That's due to the coaching and infrastructure of the club, it means we're doing a lot right and taking advantage of our opponents failures, it doesn't mean we ought to be finishing in the top 4 - we have overachieved based on finances which is unarguable, player/squad ability is subjective especially when it only takes into the account the playing staff, what about the coaches, doctors, physios etc...
