Whilst Diaz did play well he will find it a lot harder against Harry than Martial who I thought offered nothing .

Intriguing calling city the better footballing side who deserve it.

Diving Vs artificially enhanced club run by slavers

What's the "footballing" aspect got to do with the owners?

I think the general perception is that City aren't particularly "offensive" (as in, antagonistic) as a football team on a match day. They win things and generally no one cares too much.

United and Liverpool are different in that there's a sense of 'entitlement' from the clubs, and often they seem to win matches on the basis of questionable decisions or behaviour, rather than out and out footballing justification.

I feel more confident about us beating city than united. Especially in a one off game at a neutral venue.

I think we're capable of beating both, as proven by results this season, but I definitely would've preferred United.

We have the two best attackers in the league, we can bit anyone on our day regardless how the opposition play.

Despite our recent record against City, I really don’t fancy them at all in the final. Maybe I overrate them, but the way they play I feel like you need to have a lot of luck on your side to get a result against them.

I would have felt the opposite about facing Utd. I just feel like Jose would have got the better of OGS no matter what.

the insight of pundits is sometimes astounding.. I have just listened to Micah Richards say these words which are an insight to football for all of us he was talking about one of the city players " he really loves football when he is at the training ground he is always playing football or training " my word its great to have an insight into the world of football or more even an insight into the intellect of football pundits .

Charming lad, absolutely awful pundit

Posted some of this in the Brentford thread last night but cross-posting as relevant here now.

Into our first final with José. I didn’t really have an outright preference for who we faced. Sure, City are the better side of the two Manchester clubs but you just know that Utd would be on the cusp of winning a soft penalty the longer the match went on. Plus José’s record against both clubs for us is L, D, W vs Utd and W, W against City. I’m sure it will be nerve wrecking but we should be confident that we can beat them.

The final being rearranged for 25th April works out well for us too. Unlike in our last couple of League Cup final appearances, we don’t have a vital Europa match the Thursday before. The semi-final first leg is the week after. Assuming we make it. Better still, City could have a CL Semi-final first leg barely 48 hours later and that’s definitely going to affect their selection if so.

Incidentally in the league, our match away to Fulham will be need to be re-arranged. Imagine us still in the title race at the sharp end of the season, still needing to play them twice!

Love how we are assessing who we want in the final by who we can stomach losing to the most #spursy

Yeah I‘m pretty sure I could get over a final defeat to City quicker than Utd.

I preferred United in the final, but the final is so far away in relative terms and loads can happen before then. Who knows, maybe it's for the better that we face City.
