We'll need to cut out giving away the stupid freekicks outside our box though thats when we look most vulnerable and in Wood they have someone who could punish us from those positions, a win here would be massive and keeps us unbeaten since opening game.

Will be interesting to see how/if we deal with Chris Wood. They'll surely try to exploit our problems with set pieces and wouldn't be overly shocked to see Rodon get some minutes at some point. No concerns going forward apart from trying to keep everyone happy and motivated.
I agree we're going to have to be careful about giving free kicks away around the box and stopping their crosses, if necessary foul on the halfway line.

Whats gonna be weird is if we 3.0 up with 10mins to go we'll all still be nipped up.
This is why us Spurs fans are like we are :(

I won't have any confidence now in a 3-0 lead after the last game, I'll only be able to relax when the whistle has gone.

Has anyone actually watched much of Burnley this season? Are they just the Burnley of last season but a bit worse? The last 2 times we've played them away have both come at times where we've been woefully out of form. Think I'm right in saying last seasons 1-1 draw was without Kane and Son too, and with Ndombele at his absolute worst. Plus they had their fans behind them.

They go in to this game weaker, and we go in to this game stronger, so as long as we can limit their chances I don't see a reason why we can't win this comfortably.

First goal is key here, get a goal ahead and we can kill them on the counter. Dont want us chasing the game, can imagine us conceding a lot of set pieces trying to win the ball back.

You know what you will get from Burnley they are a hard working side but have less quality than others. If we take our chances we should win it comfortably.

I reckon there is a rule that says someone is required to post "first goal is key" in the match thread before every match.

Someone posted it before the West Ham match, as usual. Turned out first three goals weren't key.

I see that Lawro has predicted a 2-1 win for Burnley. We should win about 5-0, but you never know with us! I’d take a 1-0 win from every game, if it meant that we win something this season!

Simples. Just bring the battle to the midfield and up, don't let them get into our defensive third. Just fight them off swiftly, even if means waisting the ball away rather than winning it back, and trust in our goals scoring abilities.

Some silly weekend results - we need not to become one of them silly stats . Respect Burnley but we should win this.
Anything other than 3 points is not acceptable. We should be learning form previous games and getting better.
Although we have squandered at least 5 points we are in a very good position because of the weekend results .

Huge game, usually Burnley give us a game, hoping our quality is enough to see us win this one.

I feel more confident with Hojbjerg in midfield to give us a bit more strength. Hopefully Kane and Son continue scoring and assisting each other for fun.

A draw would too.
Just saying.

We need a controlled victory and a clean sheet to ease the defensive concerns moving forward. No more stupid dropped points like Barcodes and Spam - we could have been third as it stands right now with a win tonight taking us top. Too many times with us it is what could have been. COYS!

I feel Burnley are one team who are severely weakened by not having a home crowd. The atmosphere adds to the pressure of the continuous long balls and heavy challenges.

What keeper will be timewasting for them seeing as Joe Hart is on our books now ?
