Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has described how he was attacked by knife-wielding Burnley fans after the Carling Cup semi-final second leg at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.

The former White Hart Lane hard-man, 49, was petrified as a gang of around 40 Burnley supporters attacked the minibus he and his friends were in following Spurs' 6-4 win on aggregate which booked Harry Redknapp's side a place in the Carling Cup final.

Roberts, who made 209 appearances for Spurs between 1980 and 1986, said: 'The minibus was parked about a mile from the ground. As we got in the door suddenly swung open and about 40 Burnley fans were trying to get in and attempting to hit us.
