Probably my second best day of the footballing calendar, after FA Cup 3rd round Saturday.

Full PL program including Chelsea/West Ham and United/Newcastle.

I never see our players doing that though. Ignore the decent delivery/winning the header bit that we are also rubbish at, but none of our players ever seem to be on the move, anticipate the second ball and gamble on it. The only two in recent years that I can recall ever looking to do it was Gallas and Defoe.

A lot of the time its basic stuff like this, rather than extravagant quality bits of play, that make the difference.

Can't believe I'm saying this but the chavs are playing some sublime football.

I find comfort in the fact that we were better than them for 17 minutes though.

It is still mystifying to me that a team with Mark Noble, Stuart Downing, Kevin Nolan and James Collins in the starting lineup are in 4th at Christmas.

The more i see valencia the more i like him. Can play left/right, can play up top alone, can play uptop wih another striker. Has pace, willing to press, smart runs off te ball, knows how to win the space first instead of the ball to get ahead of the defender.
