I know we have a few threads on WHL, but there's no harm in another.

Been going since the mid 80's, although not regularly until about 88/89 and strangely I don't remember my first game at all. So many memorable times and games, but this is Spurs and we wouldn't be Spurs fans without a few scars along the way would we? :).

So, what are your best/worst/funniest/strangest experiences? (This is obviously a cue for Bomber to tell us how he fucked a steward in the centre circle or something after everyone had gone home :D).

Best games
In no particular order.

Spurs 6 Reading 4
Spurs 7 Southampton 2
Spurs 5 Arsenal 1 League cup semi final
Spurs 5 Chelsea 1 (another League Cup semi)
Spurs 2 Arsenal 1 (Kane double)
Spurs 2 Arsenal 1 (Sherwood scored for us in this one )
Spurs 4 Leicester 4 (We were so bad defensively, but there was never a dull moment :D)
Spurs 3 Inter Milan 1
Spurs 2 Chelsea 1 (finally breaking the curse)
Spurs 4 Chelsea 4
Spurs 9 Wigan 1

Worst Games
I'll keep this short.

Spurs 2 - Arsenal 2 (when they won some rubbish trophy or another at our place, can't remember what:whistle:)
Spurs 3 - Man Utd 5
Spurs 1 - Chelsea 6
Spurs 0 - Liverpool 5
Spurs 3 - Man City 4 (3 nil up I think and lost 4-3. They were shit back then as well. Shaun Goater scored!)

I'm sure there are others, but I've blocked them out.

Funny moments

Robinson's goal v Watford
Kane going in goal in the EL
Keano embarrassing the keeper.

Most surreal moment
There are games and goals where my memory will fade in time, but what happened to Muamba will stay with me forever. Thankfully it had a happy ending, but it was only 20 yards from me and having 30,000 people willing a man to survive in front of them I'll never forget.

After having been to 500+ games there are so many other moments I have forgotten and I feel lucky to have been there. Watching Ginola even when we were generally crap. Waddle, Gazza, Linekar, Teddy, Klinsmann, Ledley, Keano, Berbatov, Modric, VDV. The list goes on. Unfortunately, I only have vague memories of watching Hoddle play. And even though AVB's time is not a period I'll look fondly back at, it was a privilege watching a certain Gareth Bale terrorising defences from my spot on the East Stand lower and going from a great player to a truly world class player right before my eyes.

Would be so fitting if we could beat Utd on Sunday and go our last season at WHL undefeated. COYS.

Of all of the games, the ones sticking in the memory are:
First was 29 Sep 1990 vs Villa - day after my birthday.
Best (favourite) game is Inter at home
Worst was losing to Hull when Geovanni scored a fk early on and then we just could not score. So frustrating.
I was also there for Robbo's goal.
Weirdest was probably vs Leeds just before GG left them for us. Strange atmosphere, Ridsdale (I think) going over to their fans at HT to calm them down, stoppage time header from #23 to equalise for us. Eight years to the day since my first game.
Last game was Birmingham at home in May 2011 when Pav scored and relegated them. Then I moved overseas :D

Will try for a game at Wembley later this year when I am back.

0-4 v Spam '81ish. David Cross scored them all. Worst day ever only because I missed the 0-5 v Woolwich in '78.

What a game. I remember his free-kick. Along with the commentary by Rob Palmer for Iversen's goal; "arms go up, flag stays down. Tottenham have taken the lead through Steffen Iversen!"

Keown and Ljungberg getting sent off and then the latter swearing at our fans en route to the tunnel :ROFLMAO:

Too many great memories...
Ossie testimonial
Spurs 1 Chelsea 0 - Modric
Beating West Ham 5-1 in the 87 QF of the league cup
6 - 4 verses Reading
5-1 verses the scum
Gazza against Oxford in 91
Gazza against Derby in 91 with 2 free kicks against Shilton
Hoddle every time I saw him play
Waddle in his final season
Ginola running the show against Newcastle with about 5 games left to secure safety
Gary Stevens winner against arsenal
Paul Stewart's foul (assault) on Vinny Jones moments after Jones did Gary Stevens in about 88 or 89

The two UEFA cup runs in the 80's including Roberts goal against Brugge. Seeing Karl Heinz Rumenegge miss a sitter for Munich when he was the star striker in Europe - a goal that would've knocked us out in 84. And of course Micky's free kick in the semi - what a long night waiting for the final whistle....and the final

The worst - league cup semi final replay in 87 against the scum. I was only a kid and don't think i'll ever forget the feeling of leaving the shelf that night!
The tackle on Danny Thomas that ended his career.

You've covered most of the best games in the OP. Other ones I'd add:

My first game at WHL when we beat Man Utd 4-1 in 96
Beating Chelsea 5-3.
Any game beating Arsenal. Danny Rose debut was a special one.

Worst games:

Any losing to Arsenal.
Losing 3-0 to West Ham
Losing 4-1 to Newcastle with Martins scoring a screamer at the end sticks in my mind for some reason.

I missed that Chelsea game.

The Utd one was New Years Day I think? I was there, but on a massive E comedown, so was somewhat meh despite the result :D.

Best - Bit cheesy, but my first game. We beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 in 95/96, I think Chris Armstrong scored. It was probably a shit match, but who cares. Still remember walking out of the concourse into the Park Lane stand and setting eyes on WHL, in fact any football stadium, for the first time in bewildered amazement and how huge it all seemed to an 8 year old kid.

Worst - Has to be the infamous FA Cup match. Spurs 3 City 4. 3-0 up at HT, Joey Barton managed to get himself sent off during the HT break, and then you know the rest... I had permission to miss school for the afternoon as my dad had got us corporate hospitality tickets. Naturally acting the big shot I let everyone at school know this. The next day I, and Spurs, got some well deserved stick. We might have had worse results on paper over the years, but I still count this as our worst ever game I have seen, was symbolic of just how, tbh, pathetic we were in the late 90's and early 00's.

Lots of great moments for me but the worst was getting thrown against a Charlton supporters bus by the police for sticking the fingers up at their fans.

Defoe's debut game against Leicester was 4-4. We were 3 nil up, Leicester fought back to lead 3-4 before Defoe got his second of the game to make it 4-4.

September '81, a Wednesday evening, and our first home game of the season (we beat Boro 3-1 at Ayresome on the opening day). A truly gruesome evening, possibly my worst 90 minutes at The Lane.

My favourites - any win against Le Scum (almost goes without saying), and our UEFA Cup win against Feyenoord in 1983, on the way to winning the trophy. It was the only time I saw Johan Cruijff in person, and in the first half we played those bastards off the park. (Please let Feyenoord fuck up the Eredivisie this weekend and let Ajax pinch it, the same way Ajax let PSV pinch last season's title.)
As for the UEFA Final, it was a great occasion, but too tense to enjoy at the time, at least until after the decisive penalty.

Was it? For some reason I thought we won. Will edit.

Worst for me was undoubtedly the 6-1 against Chelsea. Seeing Tore Andre Flo bearing down on the goal I was sat behind for number 5 or 6 was depressing.

Best, well you've listed most of them and it's too tough to call between a fair few of those. I'd also add Harry's first game in charge against Liverpool though. We were absolutely shite in the first half and should've been 2 or 3 down but somehow went on to nick it 2-1 and aside from the AVB days the only way has been up from there. My Liverpool supporting mates were in the away end so going to the pub after the match with them made it all the sweeter too.

I still can't believe that happened. As soon as they scored early, the whole crowd and players shit themselves.

Never forget Veron sliding towards the Spurs fans when he scored. ****.

I was at the West Ham game and also at the Borough match - my one and only visit to Ayresome Park.

The Wolves UEFA cup final 2nd leg was pretty special although the hard work was done up at Molyneux.

Hated the 2-1 defeat on 9/12/72 against Arsenal - my 17th birthday destroyed
Hated the League Cup semi final defeat against Chelsea in 1972.
Detested the night Arsenal won the league in 1971 - we had captured the league cup earlier in the year and ended up in 3rd place in the old 1st division but that one really sucked.

Loved all the rest.
