Yeah I think the Ozil deal was purely about saving face. The powers that be at Arsenal must've decided that allowing their two most high-profile players to leave for free at the same time would've been too much of an embarrassment so they caved. Ironically it might yet turn out to be even more of an embarrassment when they eventually shift him to a Turkish club but are still paying 90% of his wages or something

It was all about saving face. They put themselves in such a poor position that their two star players were both ending their contracts at the same time. They did this all to themselves and it's fun as shit to watch. Especially because, whilst both talented, they weren't the players to drive the team forward. If anything Sanchez is the one you'd have wanted to keep cause at Arsenal he'd very likely get you a goal. Ozil? What does he do? What does he actually do for them? Oh it's great to watch and they're gonna take a loss on him big time and don't even have a Real Madrid and Bale situation where at least Bale won Real a champions league. Ozil has basically given 'em nothing

I recall at the time they seemed to turn a corner with the high profile signings of Sanchez and Ozil. It felt like we'd missed our opportunity to start to finish above them as it looked like Wenger was going to chase proven players rather than the Chamakhs of this world.

How funny and ironic is it that the two major transfers that they desperately wanted are now two of the players that are/have cause them the most stress.

Well made film and also disappointed that Idris is a Gooner

Still, their fans were really hoping that they'd be a new signing making an appearance in the kit-launch vid :)

Cheer up lads. Plenty of media reports out there stating that whilst Mustafi is surplus...no clubs appear interested as of yet.

Every cloud and all that.(y)

No-one's going to pay the £35M that Arsenal paid for him.

Dunno if anyone is aware or if this has been posted already but I’ve been bed ridden since a car accident & noticed a YouTube rivalry between MrDT & a fella who looks like Zoidberg from Futurama (Arsenal’s Realist). Gotta say I’m loving the in house fighting & troubles. Reckon it’ll get a lot worse before it gets better. Check it out people.

Hope you get well soon.

Star studded!

International acting star Idris Elba, Professional Fortnite gamer Ozil for the kids and AFTV shouting to Wright from off camera at the end.
