All this talk about Aubamuyang being their one hope is a bit of a " one eyed jack view " for if Kane is out of our team we are toothless .
As are all the teams without their main strikers just look at City with no Aguero or Jesus . Could you imagine United without Rashford and Greenwood . Any and all teams struggle without their main strikers.

Son is a more than able replacement if we lose Kane.

I don't agree with some of the comments here. I dislike Arsenal as much as the next fan but if we are going to be fair, we were always giving Jose the benefit of the doubt for our shit football by suggesting he is building from the back and he doesn't have the players.

Same could be said of Arteta.

Don't forget, wasn't it essentially onky a few games ago where we had zero shots against a relegated team in Bournemouth?

They actually had more of a go last night than they have previously against the better teams. They tried to defend further from goal than before and pressed a bit, whereas before they sat deeper than any Jose team has done(probably an exaggeration). The playing out from goal kicks still makes me smile though.

They didn’t kick it out once. Not sure how Liverpool didn’t manage to score from one of them.

The difference is that the media seem to be giving Arteta a bli despite Arsenal only registering 24 shots in their first 3 matches, much of their good fortune has been due to them setting up deep and countering or giving Aubameyang space on the wing with barely any defensive instructions hence how they beat Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea last season, hardly revolutionary tactics counter attacking is it...but there's a different energy when Jose does it.

And thats why I agree with some of the comments on here. It is clear theyre adopting a counter attacking approach for now, and Jose does get lambasted for that. I think if Arsenal get Aouar and Partey - theyll be a different kettle of fish.

I am a fan of Arteta and think he will do well but youre right, the media is sucking up to them.

Seems like it's Aulas playing games similar to Ndombele but they're struggling to raise the funds for Aouar.

Partey already seems off the table due to Athletico wanting the release clause of 50m, where according to reports, you have to pay the full amount upfront then agent fees and huge wages on top.

I hope they end up with neither though it looks unlikely they won't get one.

It's high risk but the rewards outweigh the risks if the players are confident to do it

I can't be the only who thought they were wrong to let go of Martinez. Did really well after lockdown. He's a solid keeper from what I have seen. I rate him better than Leno.

I still find it amazing how noone else is coming in for him. It's very weird

Partey or Aouar?

Partey is 27/28 and requires a huge fee and financial commitment on someone could lose their athleticism in 2 years.

Aouar is strange, agreed. He's fantastic and would love us to sign him if Dele is off (never going to happen). There was talk of City wanting him and Juve and a report came out in France that he prefers either one of them over Arsenal. I hope he decides to stay put for another season!

It’s good to see that Kieran Tierney is no better than Alan Hutton and certainly atm not even as good!

They were talking about him being the greatest thing since sliced bread ???

Reports last night were that they're confident of signing both. They'll pay the release clause for Partey after negotiating Aouar. I assume like us, they will need to shift some deadwood first.

Was refering to Partey but it applies to both. There is a shortage of decent defensive midfielders

Put Gabriel in my dream team as he seemed quite tasty and Artera then drops him for bloody useless sideshow bob??

Football managers make some seriously weird decisions sometimes.

It’s weird as he keeps being played left side of a back three, where I thought he was supposed to be good at attacking so would have thought in that system he would be more suited to a left wing back role?

Also I think Aintland-Niles is playing left wing back who I thought was right footed there then the left-footed Saiko who had been looking really good for then.

Very odd.

They were operating a sell to buy before Covid. They're definitely doing the same these days.

So they sell their 2nd GK and bring in another for + net 18m.

That helps them bring in Gabriel for - net 5m.

Basically, Kronke wants to spend as little as possible on them.

Although this hasn't fully twigged with all of the Arsenal fans.
