Completely agree, that excuse does not make any sense in the slightest, it’s treating people that have raised concerns like absolute idiots and it’s pathetic from Robbie to accept that as an explanation. Had a full day or so to come up with an excuse and there simply wasn’t a coherent one to make.

There would have been far more credit if Claude had simply apologised, said that it doesn’t at all express how he really feels about ethnic minorities and people from other countries and that he just stupidly mimicked something he’s heard from other fans in a moment of football idiocy, but that any usage of it is completely and utterly unacceptable.

and then a strongly worded message from Robbie that going forward there will be zero tolerance for it and if anyone of them says anything similar they will be off their stupid platform for good.

No excuse for what he did though; its not like it's old slang or colloquialism that is now non PC. That was always offensive towards asians and you would have to be aware of it to do it.
