I think its either him on a loan with obligation, or Diallo now. We are going big on Skriniar so thats the only way I can see us also having enough for a striker

Is this chap any good? What's his style of play, which player could he be compared to in the Premiership?

Thanks, I like the highlighting part too, It's understandable why though. We were able to muddle through the opening 3 games because we had Southampton and Newcastle as the league games inbetween but he'll want harry fresh when facing United off the back of Europa duty.

I'd say he's got similar characteristics to someone like Morata. But left footed.
Can sort of play off the front a little but predominantly a target man with a little bit extra about him.

Took me a while to even think of Morata (who obviously isn't in the prem anymore but could be used as an example) so others might think i'm way off.

I think mourinho is right too. Son despite still scoring goals when played down the middle isnt half as effective

Well whilst it sounds like a new centre back is in the offing, I still can't get my head around us approaching a four match week without a new striker in the squad.

I will happily admit to not watching Serie A hardly at all over the last few years and I was disappointed that some of other linked strikers did seem imminent but from what I am told by proper "calcio fans" friends is that he is good technically, good finisher and can link play.

There are still reports of Seferovic and ITK about Chris Wood, so not sure it's just diwn to Milik and Diallo.

Edouard would be my preferred choice. That said, I've not seen too much of Milik to arrive at this conclusion, but I have liked what I've seen of Edouard.

If you’d have offered me no striker in by now but the signings of Hojbjerg, Doherty, Regulion, Hart and Bale in all honesty I’d have snapped your hand off. All in all I think it’s been and shaping up to be a wonderful window

Thats not happening though. IF Edourard leaves Celtic, it’ll be to somewhere where he would likely play every day. The only reason Milik looks to have had some movement recently off the no backup demand(although very conflicting repodfs about that) is that he dossnt have many other options. But again, he’d prefer to actually play which is fair enough.

We’ll sign Diallo, if he even wants to come, and be done with it. If he doesnt want to come then we’ll be on a desperate hunt for Josh King or Slimani after October 5th.

Every day is a bit intense. Our lot are complaining about a match every 2 or 3, and that's only for a few weeks

The longer into the transfer window and the season it goes, the more desperate we appear and the less likely a team is to part with a striker that may be part of their plans. Prices therefore go up and good options dwindle.

Well that's fair enough. I like PEH but I do not think he is the best DM out there and even seemingly isn't going to be played there anyway. Being Irish I love Doherty and have long called for him to be in the Irish starting Xi over dear Seamus but if we are playing with a b flat back four we will not see the best of him at all. He is a wing back and that really concerns me because his positives are getting in the box and attacking the far post but he is not brilliant one on one defending and is not the best crosser. Bale is a massive bonus and I think think Reg has improved our left back options.
I would still have thought our biggest issues, right back aside, is centre back and striker which we still haven't addressed. Don't get me wrong we will finish on the 5th October stronger than we were in July and that is really good but we cannot kid ourselves that a second centre forward is not key whilst we are still in four (or even three) competitions.

I think as time goes by it gets more and more obvious, unless Diallo wants to come, we’re not going to sign a striker.
