Italy down to just EL and ECL sides. West Ham could do one PL side a huge favor tomorrow and of course keep their own CL dreams alive (lol).
This just got me thinking. It's now theoretically possible for 7 teams from one country to get a CL place if they have a top 2 coefficient (5 league places) and then the winners of the Europa and Champions League both finish out of the top 5.

I know before the format changes the 4th placed team in the league would lose out. What would happen now? Both 4th and 5th in the league lose out?

I don’t think that will be decided until the only team it may affect is us….

Dale Johnson who is the guru on this says that in that case all 7 sides would make the CL.

What's the maximum number of places in the UCL and in Europe?

Under the old system, a maximum of five clubs from one association could play in the Champions League. It meant that in the unlikely event teams from the same league won the Champions League and Europa League, yet both finished outside the UCL places domestically, then fourth would have to surrender their place and drop into the UEL.

But from 2024-25 it will be possible for seven Premier League teams to get a place in the UCL: The top four, fifth through league performance in Europe, and the winners of the UCL and the UEL.

It would also technically be possible to have 11 Premier League teams in Europe: The usual allocation of seven, plus the extra Champions League place and the titleholders of all three European competitions (if they finished outside a European position.)

I'm fine with them getting Real Madrid. They can get the reminder that they're not actually in the European top 5 yet.

Could see both German teams making the semis so we really need to get 4th place.

City Madrid is going to be a good game

I’d happily finish in the bottom half if it meant Arsenal didn’t win the champions league.

The only bragging rights we have over them is that we’re more successful in Europe.

That is not a question you need to ask yourself. Jesus.
I should have worded it better. I no doubt want Bayern to smash them so I hope Spurs take care of business over the next couple of weeks so we don't have to worry about the whole coefficient thing going into May.

So we will have Atletico, Barca, PSG or Dortmund in the final which I would not have bet on in the fall.

Quietly confident that lego head will bottle it or find some way to cock it up. Never liked him as a player, don't like him as a manager. Don't like his AI generated, emotionless face. Creepy twat.

Will be pretty embarassing for arsenal to lose to a team from a 'farmer's league.'

Can someone reassure me that Arsenal aren't gonna win this thing? I don't want them to win the league but they've won it before so it's not the end of the world but please not the CL.
