Perfect foil for Son when Kane is unavailable. The initial moany reactions to us being linked with him are starting to look a bit silly thankfully.

Shame for him he fluffed his only real goal scoring chance, but impressed with him overall.

Looks a good player.

Not sure what I was expecting from him but shows real game intelligence. Really impressed how he found players that are so new to him. Can see him playing some games alongside Kane. Just the kind of option we’ve been missing.

Shouldn't be surprising that the primeira's golden boot winner looks good. Completely different situation from Janssen, as Vinicius showed me in Portugal that he is much much more than a goalscorer. He got double digit assists last season, and he showed that awareness today. If we were in need of a first choice striker, he'd of been near the top of my list, incredible how he's our "backup".

Good debut.

Decent touch, clever runs, worked hard and got two assists.

Looks a much better player than Janssen, which of course is what we were all afraid.

Very promising. Very mobile.

The one thing that annoyed me is he seemed to set off on his runs very early and with mobile wide men in front of him he could have played with his back to goal a little more. It sometimes felt a bit overcrowded with three players all making similar runs. He looks a player though and with time to adapt he might be a keeper.

Has good feet for such a big guy, held it up well, clever little balls. Went too early on quite a few occasions but I’m just going to chalk that up to over-eagerness on debut.

Was underwhelming for most of SCs expert talent spotters though ?

25 touches, 100% passing accuracy (11/11), 5 key passes, and 2 assists per Whoscored.

Wasn't on the ball much, but when he was, he sure was effective.

Strong debut Carlos.

Very promising performance. Such a shame he messed up that header but didn’t knock his confidence.
2 assists.
