Didn't his form and playing time drastically drop after Mourinho left / Solskjaer took over? (I may be wrong)Unless Jose has seen something that nobody else has seen, when he was at man u, this seems very unlikely.
I think (hope) he was offered to us and we quickly said no.
It is funny when his biggest asset to us is being home grown.
Hes never been in form, apart from a 2 month purple patch under Jose.Didn't his form and playing time drastically drop after Mourinho left / Solskjaer took over? (I may be wrong)
I don't see him as a a top 6 player, but perhaps he showed Mourinho enough to suggest he can be a useful rotation player. If that's the case, Levy may be able to drive a good bargain, with Lingard out of favour with his current club/manager and his contract expiring next summer (unless they trigger a one-year extension clause - reportedly).
Not a signing I'd be in favour of...just trying to see the potential logic in it.
Why is he so hated? As a player I think of him to be exceptionally average/overrated but I'm assuming he's done or been doing something despicable, I'm just not aware of it.
He was hardly awful for England in the 2018 World Cup. Not a star player, but I would have said he was in form and deserved his place in the squad.Hes never been in form, apart from a 2 month purple patch under Jose.
Clearly his agent using our name to get some traction.
He can't be as bad as I think he is.Banter aside, Lingard is pretty underrated. His off the ball movement is great, he’s quite fast and nimble and is a pressing machine. Gets a bad rep as a player because of his social presence.
