I expect Jose, as an experienced manager of many clubs, and an intelligent and strategic man, knows how things work and is capable of requesting/choosing realistic targets (like at Inter). DL too will be aware that he can trust Jose's judgement as he has a good track record.

It would probably be different if Jose said "get me Neymar and Ronaldo"

Mourinho is very smart. It’s easy to just see him as a big spending manager but he was one of the pioneers of creating detailed dossiers of both opposition players but potential targets for his respective clubs. It’s good to have a tack sharp manager in place, especially when a practical rebuild is needed

I agree, while the proposed business in isolation is not particularly trouser lifting it does look like we will have a much more balanced squad next season. Certainly compared to the last two dysfunctional seasons.

If you tie that in with the quality we already have at the club and then factor in Jose's experience and tactical nous, I can see us going under the radar and being very competitive next season.

For me it is the cabin I shared with 9 other guys when we worked on a summer camp in America back in 2002. Stood for Designated Masturbation Area. One guy got scheduled for DMA time quite a lot.

But as Herc says, he was talking about DNA ?

Hopefully, Cirkin will start getting minutes/starts in the EL qualifiers onwards...Having said, I wonder what will be fate of Sessegnon.

All sounds very positive, need to keep our feet on the ground though. I think we can be happy with Højbjerg (correct spelling, really respectful) but the rest are still very much in the air. If Levy continues in the same vein as the Højbjerg (correct spelling, really respectful) transfer then I'll be the first to praise him on a summer well done.

If this all comes off I think we could be in for a good season. We know this squad is very capable and if we can fill the holes it'll be exciting to see what we can achieve.

With the shit we've seen over the past two years it's easy to forget just how talented our squad is.

As soon as Mourinho came out a couple of weeks ago (I posted his quotes in the Mourinho thread) I thought it looked promising (although we haven't signed anyone yet the noises are positive). He'd handed a report containing a list of targets and he referenced the current market. Now this could of seen as him putting pressure on Levy but I thought it sounded like he was just being clear in the plans. Then he said about enjoying working with Hitchen. He didn't have to say those things in public and they didn't sound like he was pushing an agenda either.
