Good win and decent performance, but this game suited us. Until Jose gets the time and personnel he needs we will be inconsistent in performance. I still think we will struggle coming up against teams that sit deep and counter. I don't want to be too down beat because it was a good result.

I think for a good while we have always struggled against teams that sit deep - even when Poch was with us. Today was a typical game where we would always have a chance to nick the 3pts and could have gone either way in all honesty. Hopefully, this could be an indicator of how we move on from here. Jose is clearly working on the defence first and it looks like it is paying small dividends.

Look, I am massively grateful for the win but I also feel this is the least the boys could have done after the shit they have served us up this season. To add, surprise surprise, we looked better* against a team that actually came to control the game and play football.

*still nowhere near good enough for this squad.

Like Poch struggled with the same players. New players or we don't progress. It's that simple

Watching their goal. Xhaka blocks off Serge.
Interesting that didn’t get picked up by VAR.

Not sure we deserved that, but who gives a toss! Get in! In fairness we did have too days' less recovery and preparation before today so great performance in the end

They really didn't much with the possession they had for 20 minutes at the start of the second half. To be honest for most of the match its was pretty even, both sides had decent chances. As a team we defended well for those 20 minutes and then the game swung back out way in the last 20.

Time was our ‘immense’ players were all about skills and trickery, now it’s all about running all day and closing down. How are the mighty fallen.
In a game like this under Mourinho, that was so so key. Not sure you saw the 3 or 4 brilliant passes he also picked out and his surprisingly good ball retention. Let’s enjoy the win, cuz the performance encouraged me just as much as the result against the scum.

Those from here who chose not to watch the game can no longer watch NLD's after that result.

No need to gatekeep watching Spurs. The one thing we all have in common on here is we love our club, there are many different ways of showing that.

Given the match prediction stats on the OP; I’d suggest there’s more happiness in the spurs camp than not. (Btw, I predicted a spurs win, along with 15 others:whistle:)

And what is that? Letting the opposition continuously have fantastic chances?

How many fantastic chances did they have as a direct result from the players mentioned?

Why pick out those 2 players though?
You could criticise both Kane and Son for being extremely wasteful, lo Celso for giving away needless fouls, Sissoko for being his usual self.

Yes you may dislike them, yes you may question them in the team, but both players played their part in a win against the Arse. Why criticise? Why not just enjoy the one bit of happiness we have had since the restart, beating the scum!
