I suppose anyone who supports us who cannot make sunday games would be unwise, stupid even, to purchase a season ticket knowing that we play Sundays alot due to Europa.

I don't really care when we play to be honest.

Although I have one question for the season ticket holders who have an issue with the schedule

No fan has an issue with us playing on Sundays when we've played in Europa the Thursday before. What fan would think we should be able to play with one day rest and play on Saturday? The issue lies, once again, to the times when we ARE able to play on a Saturday, but don't.

I would have thought with our participation in the Europa League it would have been fairly obvious.

Yea but let go of a season ticket and have fun getting it back any time soon, it's not as simple as just picking and choosing the years in which you want one.

It's also pretty harsh on Newcastle fans that we kick off on Sunday at 12. Nice easy journey for them. But when have Sky ever thought of the travelling support?!
probably better for them than the 4pm slot though. They can come down on Saturday and have a night in London. If it was the 4pm match they'd be lucky to get home before midnight on Sunday

Well not really, a late night on a Sunday is surely preferable to paying for a night out in London on Saturday or getting up at the crack of dawn on Sunday. The ticket is probably £50 and travel will be expensive.

I have no idea why there is suddenly a game at noon on a Sunday. But of all the games to choose only Southampton v Sunderland/Newcastle would be dumber.

That really is despicable to change it after they had put the tickets on sale, I've booked my flights in readiness and now am gonna have to pay another 70 quid to change em. THFC really haven't got a clue on how to treat and respect their fans, literally fuming here.

We play West Brom on the Thursday (Boxing Day) so by moving this we don't play twice in 48 hours.

Chris, you'll love this - Stoke match moved to Sunday!
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/stoke-fixture-change-081113/

Ridiculous. I was overwhelmed by the information on that fixture change page informing me of why it has been changed. Can't the club be a bit more open with us? You have to go to PL.com to find out, on it's fixtures page.

"This fixture was previously scheduled on Satuday 28 December 2013 at 15.00 but was rescheduled due to club agreement."

And we're not on TV, so that's not the reason...

Everton v Southampton is the same.

We play West Brom on the Thursday (Boxing Day) so by moving this we don't play twice in 48 hours.

But you know that's not the reason don't you? 12 other teams play on Thursday and they have to play on Saturday. Did we, Stoke, Everton and Southampton pay off Scudamore?

Firstly, I didn't think tickets were put on sale this early on. It's over a month away. What is the normal number of weeks prior to a match for tickets to go on sale? Secondly, what a disgrace. What a total digrace. I'm totally stunned because I was under the reasonable assumption that once tickets have been purchased, then the club has to lock themselves in to a fixture. How can they actually get away with this?

So Tottenham and Stoke both agreed to move the game, gives both teams an extra days rest after a busy period of football. If you cant see why we have agreed to this then you really need to open your eyes.

I didn't say they don't warn us, I'm saying it shouldn't happen. Not once people have purchased. And that warning just warns that the dates may change, it doesn't make it clear that it doesn't just apply for the fixtures that have not gone on sale which would be okay. It should inform people that even when they've purchased a ticket, "we can still screw you over"

It says fixtures cant be changed... its simple, any fixture on the list can be moved dates, it doesn't say once tickets are sold we cant move, it doesn't say just to piss SpursManChris, we will move fixtures to a Sunday, it simply says "FIXTURES CAN BE CHANGED" it is a simple statement, and very clear.

Sure, but as I said, I am stunned that they feel it's okay to do that. Have you ever been in the shoes of the guy above and had to change your flight?

and I have already said, the 2 clubs have agreed to move the game, it is a busy period and will give the players more time to recover.

Why must 2+2 = 6546531897465.2 to some people?!

Yeah, alright, fair enough. But it just makes us sound weak, when all those other teams are able to cope with this busy period and play on the Saturday. I just thought we would be strong enough to not to need that extra day.

How is moving a game being weak? to me it is being smart, I would rather we looked at moving games to benefit us rather than trying to fill in games every 2 games.

for example, to show we are not "weak" would you rather we played our full season over 2 months? or use the full season to spread the games out over.
