Lets have a look at some stats then. When cl or europa league dont effect weekend games here are the saturday games from now until the end of the season.

Arsenal-17
Liverpool-18
Chelsea -16
Man u-17
Man city-18 ( one sat game due to cup game tuesday though)
Tottenham - 16

So can we stop they "they have more saturday games than us" tantrum as it is just bollocks.
LOL, are you seriously looking that far ahead? Haven't you noticed that all the Saturday fixtures are set for 15.00???? That's the default schedule, Sky haven't even thought about how they're going to mix it up. Not to mention the PL don't know which of their clubs are going to pass the group stages in Europe.

I did know, I just wanted to make a point with it, we will get moved for europe mostly, and then tv, whuch is what you have just said. Nothing to do with us being victims and moved for no reason.

I don't mind being moved around on a Saturday from 3pm to early or late, just not to a Sunday when we don't need to. You're right we're never moved for no reason to a Sunday when we don't need to, it's just for some unknown factor that we are. Lets use today's match as an example. We could easily have been shown by Sky yesterday in their 17.30 slot, with Arsenal v Liverpool on in 20 minutes from now.

We could, but with cl games next week they tend to try and keep these teams playing on saturday, so wouldnt have happened.

What do you mean? We play on Thursday. So if we played yesterday, that would be sunday off, monday off, tuesday off and wednesday off then play thursday. That's four days in between not five. Even if it was five, that's no reason not to play on a saturday and I'm fairly confident the club wouldn't be requesting that of the Premier League.

Are you being deliberately obtuse ?

With 7 days in a week and playing on a weekend day and midweek, if you count the days (including the days on which the matches are played) then to get similar rest time, it will be 3 days or 4 days between (hence having 5 days betwewen matches if we were playing on Saturday ie Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) is not very sensible - hence playing on a Sunday makes much more sense).

If we carry on averaging less than a goal a game, you might well get your wish of Saturday 3pm's because Sky might start looking elesewhere!!
As it stands, we are a big draw as far as Sky are concerned and with the sheer number of live games (higher this year with BT's contract) being shown, even non-Europa weeks are likely to see us shifted.

I'll be honest, I havent read any of the thread so my contribution is probably pointless...

But, just wanted to rant really. I'm in my early 20's and paid almost a grand on a season ticket, to someone a year or two out of uni that's a LOT. I can't make Sunday or evening games because of where I live and sometimes work (I travel), and it is really really pissing me off that I committed to the club, although it's not their fault, both now financially and emotionally, and i'm being forced into not attending the Lane. It's these little things that the Premier League have got to realise are making people disenchanted with their 'brand' as well as the larger issues...

It's also pretty harsh on Newcastle fans that we kick off on Sunday at 12. Nice easy journey for them. But when have Sky ever thought of the travelling support?!

Well, this won't be good news for some:
Swansea City (A) now Sun 19 January, KO 1.30pm (on @SkySports); Manchester City (H) remains Wed 29 January, KO 7.45pm (on @btsport)

I'd rather he stayed at home than come to the game and sat in silence like 80% of the fans. Simply being there does not make you a good fan

So we have been moved to Sunday for TV. Seems fair considering Sky's saturday game has Liverpool playing so we won't get preference over them. So considering the other Saturday fixture is on BTSport it won't be moved to that slot.

I'm not asking for Saturday 3pm (even though it'd be great), I'm asking for Saturday early or late kick-off, as I understand that we're a major TV team and I realise Sky money is important. In terms of 3pm, I think all things considering, we're probably quite fortunate to have even had even one damn 3pm this season, against Norwich, with Stoke also coming up in December and Palace in January (As January's TV line-up has now been confirmed.) I really hope all sunday no-goers are able to get along to those, along with our Saturday 17.30 match v Sunderland in December. Hope you can get there everyone. I say everyone, but I do feel like I'm only speaking to 0-Tibsy-0! (who's post is below)

I feel for you my friend. I can assure you that your contribution is not pointless. You're the example I've be searching for, someone who cannot make sunday matches and this thread has a real lack of them and when I say lack, I mean you're the only one. (I'm pretty sure) I do think it is a disgrace that our club and the Premier League allow it to happen, given the shear number of times where we could have played on Saturday at 3pm or 17.30 but haven't, or even 12.45, even though that is more complex and would mean BT would have to be sold more of our matches. I think it shows a complete disregard to the fans who cannot do sundays. What has it been like in previous seasons? At this current rate, I would have seriously thought that there would be a petition out there. Maybe there is? Maybe you can start one. Is there no discussion? Do our fans just largely accept it? Do they just not look into it to be able to realise that there ARE actually opportunities to play Saturdays but they instead think that it's all because of Europa and don't question it? Anyway, I really hope you can make our upcoming Saturday matches.

Why on earth would Liverpool get preference???? This is a new one for this thread.

I don't really care when we play to be honest.

Although I have one question for the season ticket holders who have an issue with the schedule - when you purchased your ticket did you not realise that we would have a large amount of Sunday fixtures? I would have thought with our participation in the Europa League it would have been fairly obvious.
