It was so so soft, but Son did get him on the ankle and got none of the ball. You can see why the ref missed it in real time. Hard to blame him for that really. The penalty was a product of re-refeering via VAR, as we sometimes see
He did, however he threw his leg back when it became apparent that he wasn't getting the ball. So, it wasn't really stopping the attackers advantage.

It was sons trailing leg. Not even the one that made the tackle.

He does quite a bit of the commentating for women's football and a piece of me dies every time I realise it's him. Needs to retire.

He used to be great on the radio back in the day. Didn’t transition well to TV. Plus I think he’s a Chelsea fan.

He was mildly amusing, when he first started commenting on Capital Gold in the early 1990s.

He would scream Ready, Steady, Teddy, every time Teddy Sheringham scored.

He should retire from football commentary now and stick to Robot Wars.

Yeah he was quite excitable, which obviously works for radio ( I used to like listening to neutral games on the radio, but hated it for Spurs games as they always made it sound like we were gonna concede a goal even when nothing was really happening).

Pearce on Capital Gold is tinged with a lot of nostalgia for me as well, thinking about being in the car on the way to and home from WHL back when I was young and not middle aged and grumpy with a bad back :D.

But, yeah, you’re right he should stick to Robot Wars.

All of tonight’s sound being echoed is not annoying at all.

Why the fuck was Bournemouth’s goal disallowed? The touch was “not intentional.” My arse it wasn’t.

Im glad your sound was shit also as I thought the problem was my end.
Why the fuck were we third on? Surely our match was the highest profile? Either us or City/Newcastle.

I thought the same. The only time a big match is bumped to beyond the first couple of slots is when it’s a boring 0-0. Strange.

Frankly, haven't we seen enough of ex-players who literally crawl up the arse of Liverpool and constantly blow smoke rings for them on Sky and the BBC and BT/TNT. It's beyond tedious now Danny Murphy !
