He definitely is one seriously toxic MF. Absolutely intrigued to see where he goes next.

He's a legend but an absolute football dinosaur these days, too arrogant to adjust to the changes that have taken place in the game.

Once again, he followed his usual three season cycle of getting hired, winning a trophy on his second season, and turning to shit on the third one (excluding his stint with us )
Perhaps that is why we sacked him before he had a chance to win a trophy? Because if he had won, it would have protected him for another season or so serving up his beautiful brand of dross before self destructing further and further…

Newcastle will be taking a look I imagine
Would be a serious mistake for them and what they’ve managed to build so far under Howe.

That being said, seeing the same cycle play out again there as it did for us will be interesting. Rather them than us.

He really is a 2 season manager

he is a good manager but he does turn toxic towards the end. You can now script what will happen if you sign Jose pretty accurately.

he was never the long term fit for spurs but he did steady the ship after Mo Po went. We should have got rid in the summer TW but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I do agree with you. I wouldn't have beared his football any longer. It was a correct decision, but still, an anomaly in his career.

This gets said a lot in here, like there’s no way Levy could sack him in the short term because he won the league cup. But at best it might have bought him a few more months, and we still might have got rid at the end of the season if things were bad enough.

Levy sacked Poch a few months after the Champions League final. He also sacked Ramos about seven months after winning the league cup. If things got bad enough (which clearly they were with Mourinho) Levy wouldn’t have hesitated to sack him regardless of him winning the league cup.
