What’s surprises me most is the lack of appearance from Kane. Yes we didn’t expect him to be at the stadium but if we were realistically wanting to either keep him or put pressure on City to make a bid, then we should be all over social media posting photos of Kane returning to training, be it in isolation or with his teammates.

It’s almost as if we’re just keeping him quiet and wrapped up in bubble wrap until City meet our price. Baffles me how we’re going about this to be honest.

The 2021 remix of that quote is now ‘why buy a striker for 50m when you can buy one for 150m?’

We don't have to seen to do anything. I think we're just going about our business.Kanes back in training. If City don't come up with the dosh (if there is an acceptable amount) he stays our player. It wouldn't surprise me if Levy's "He's not for sale" means he's not for sale.

Surely from a city perspective, signing kane for 150 surely outweighs the negatives of not signing him - almost guaranteed the PL, highly likely to win the CL. The prize money from all of that.

Yeah, wish we’d set the deadline as the weekend just gone.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we did, hence the return to training this week with the rest of the squad and his likely involvement on Thursday. Leaving it any later will cause us to miss out on his replacement, as selling clubs won’t want to lose their best strikers with no time to replace them with alternatives. Common sense tells us that I’m afraid.
