Weird how Chelsea, Man City, PSG etc get up to much worse and I don't think any individuals have ever been held to account for their dealings - for the most part, the clubs haven't either. ??
Didn't Abramovich bribe Russian government on his way to making his billions back in 1990s? I'm pretty sure he later admitted to having lied under oath in a Russian court. Given that background, It's pretty easy to imagine him bribing the necessary people in the football world and getting away with it. As for City and PSG, they're state-run businesses, and it's more or less natural for the state to be corrupt.Weird how Chelsea, Man City, PSG etc get up to much worse and I don't think any individuals have ever been held to account for their dealings - for the most part, the clubs haven't either. ??
Did someone say the verdict for the appeal won’t be till may? It’s quite a long time for us to be in limbo for. Having to chose a new DoF and a new manager

Doesn’t matter, if he gets worldwide ban, or really even if just ratified that he is banned from dealing with any Italian club, players of those clubs or agent, then we would be able to (and in fact in case of worldwide ban, have to) sack without compensation. Would be similar to a lorry driver getting a long licence ban, they can be terminated immediately (pending due process) as unable to perform their duties. How long was his contract?
Barber isn't a DoF, he is their Levy equivalent. David Weir is Brighton's DoF (was Dan Ashworth until he left for Newcastle last year).Unless we go to a club for a double swoop?
Braz & Schmidt
Krosche & Glasner
Barber & De Zerbi
Probably end up with Hale & Pace
No just if it was up this year or a 2 + 1 contract similar to contes and the hearing went past June we could just end it anyway. We’ll have all sorts of lawsuits if we get rid and he’s found ‘innocent’Doesn’t matter, if he gets worldwide ban, or really even if just ratified that he is banned from dealing with any Italian club, players of those clubs or agent, then we would be able to (and in fact in case of worldwide ban, have to) sack without compensation. Obvs if Paratici has to leave June 4th is way too late for usYep.
The appeal was lodged last week, preliminary hearing date set for 27th March, with result expected before end of Italian season (which is 4th June)
Appeal really is
1. To say the new evidence found (basically Paracticis book showing the true values of players and admitting in effect to falsifying capital gains) which in effect found them guilty was not “new facts” and should not have been admissible evdience
2. To say that due process was not carried out and the punishment was not proportionate to the crime
3. To say that if the hearing does not accept the above, then the hearing should be heard at a different court.
Sporting penalties is all that can happen in relation to above, including ratification of 30 month ban from Football Paratici has received.
None of the above relates to the criminal prosecutions, for market manipulation, false accounting etc, which could have penal sentences, and are where for example Juventus announced to stock market that players had all taken a 3 month total pay cut and the markets reacted accordingly, whereas in effect they have agreed to a one month and all had a signed letter from Paratici saying that it is 1 month pay cut, and 2 months deferred that they would receive at a later date.

I read that Conte wasn’t his choice. Funnily enough. People naturally assumed it because of their time together at Juve. Some good signings but I do worry he'll make the wrong appointment.
I defended him with Nuno because of timing but I think coming in and binning off Fonseca sent us down the wrong path.
And Conte was his choice.
So there is a major concern there that he'll go for a coach who prefers to stay rigid or defensive.
Hopefully that decision is taken our of our hands.
This was in an Athletic article by Jack Pitt-Brooke (and he's repeated that claim in at least one other article recently). I found it surprising he would say that as I always thought it was fairly clearly understood that Parataci wanted Conte; I seem to remember Alisdair Gold saying Conte was Parataci's choice. It's possible it was a guess that Conte was Paratici's choice since they worked together previously, but, it's a bit of a case of whose reporting do you trust more. Here's the paragraph where it's discussed and a link to the article (subscription required):I read that Conte wasn’t his choice. Funnily enough. Apparently he heard he was coming in quite late in the process. I’ll try and dig out the article.
