I thought, once again, we sang throughout and were brilliant. We also showed great dignity in the face of great disappointment at the end.
It is the first time I have been properly upset by the opposing supporters though. When they equalised a grown man in his mid 30's ran at least 10 yards to shout aggressive abuse and gesticulate to us all in the face of my 10 year old. When they scored the winner, the same happened but with one or two more involved. The Steward (decent old guy) was helpless to do anything and even admitted that the Police were never around when they were needed.

Just needed to let off steam, that's all.

PS Tom Huddlestone, how is he a central midfielder in the fastest league in the world?

My daughter in law is a season ticket holder at Goodison, speaking to her on the phone this morning she did say that our fans were the loudest they have had there this season

Just a shame we let the second in, a draw would have been hard to take as we were so close to the win but at least it would have represented a decent point from a tough away fixture and given the crown who showed such great support something to take home with them from the experience

No I think he was the one just standing nearer the pitch. Actually, he parked his car in the same carpark as us and he had two little kids with him. What chance do they have? This one was on the back row nearest to us, I wish I had filmed him, it really was disgusting.

There was an air of conciliation at the end. One of our fans called him over and calmed him down at the final whistle. I asked him to apologise to my 10 year old who was pretty shocked by it really, which in fairness he did. The steward also apologised for their fans and for the fact that he was pretty powerless as there was no support from plod.

Are you sure it was his car he was going back to? Car ownership on Merseyside is a rarity.
