I would take him in a heart beat. He would score bags of goals on our squad.
If only someone had been saying thsi for the last year...

Because Roy brought on Gerrard and Rooney on
That is proof that you need your experience according to Neville
RIGHT

the logic is insane, its like saying Lallana didnt play so therefore its proof, he is not good enough for england in the big teamsMore likely Philip it's proof that we give out token easy caps for those in the gang. Rooney maybe, but no need whatsoever for a mentally shot gerrard to come on other than to get him an extra cap to his name.
I cant agree there, against Uruguay, both teams looked like they didnt know what they were doing and just running around pathetically trying to do something but not sure what. The big moment for me, as far as England was concerned, is when Rooney screws that shot wide to make it 2-2 against Italy.
He scores there I think we would of taken at least a point and had a lot more confidence going into the Uruguay game - where we looked really nervy.
I know, ultimately, we wern't good enough - but the example above is one of the reasons why we wern't good enough.
The only 'experience' we really needed was Cashley Cole at the back, if we were going to bring a mature player.

There was no shape to either team
The thing is we weren't close to Italy all game and were frankly lucky to have that chance. They were a class above us and that is saying something considering the team Prandelli played as they just needed to get out and closed down to stop them from doing anythingThat's what I'm saying though, kind of. The pressure in the second game made us even worse.
There is no doubt in my mind that losing the first game affected our performance in the second.
We wern't good enough anyway to do anything significant in this tournament but we might got out of the group had we not lost the first one - IMHO.
Not sure I get this antipathy towards the Greeks. They don't play great football but they don't have particularly good players available so they do the best when what they've got. Still a damn sight better than the English, who can learn a thing or two about passion and pride playing for their country by watching the Greeks. Besides all that, the Greeks didn't win just because of fight and organisation, they were by far the better team- for all the Ivorian stars, Greece should've been out of sight long before the undeserved equaliser. At least the Greeks give their fans something to be proud of.
Reminds me of the Walker backpass against Liverpool in 12/13The big moment for me, as far as England was concerned, is when Rooney screws that shot wide to make it 2-2 against Italy.

Also everyone knows Balotelli is a mardy fuck but we are the only team who let things go his way.
We deserved to finish last place as we looked like we didnt have a clue and most teams played their first 11 they played in the last friendly.
Whereas we felt it needed a total reshuffle and drop Lallana.
France and Netherlands don't have better quality broEngland's worst World Cup since 1958 and sod all will change. I know we lack the player quality that France, Germany, Holland, etc. have but our players on paper are better than those of Greece, Nigeria, Algeria & the US and yet they've had a better tournament than us. What the likes of Greece, Algeria and the US lack in technical skills they make up with pride and passion whereas our players seem to be looking forward to their holidays.
