Having read SkySports there King feels confident he has years ahead of him yet. IMO if we keep these to guys fit we will be top 6 next season easily, it has been said before but for the past number of seasons our centre backs have cost us greatly and put alot of pressure on Robbo.

They truely compliment each other, Woodgate is so intelligent and composed both on the ball and when defending attacks. Ledders is just an absolute beast who puts his body on the line every time he needs to. There are both lacking match fitness so when/if they we get these guys playing together for 5 - 10 consecutive games we will be pretty hard to breakdown.

One last thing, some people have been critising Huttons perfomance.... were you watching the same game as me? Anelka was quiet for a reason Hutton didn't let the guy play. I rate Anelka as a top Europeon striker but Hutton really imposed himself and let him know he wasn't going to get a sniff. Chimbo doesn't have his heart in the club which is clear to see, he will be gone in the summer.

Nothing really groundbreaking i know but I had to chuck in my 2p's worth.

i honestly feel that if both Woody and Leds can stay fit then they potentially have got what it takes to be the best CB pairing in the league, even better than Vidic and Rio. Time will tell. I thought Hutton had a decent game. As you say, kept Anelka quiet, did his job.

As odd as it sounds i don't think it's just the 2 centre backs. As a 1st team defensive unit it looks fucking rock solid. I.e: Bale---King--Woodgate--Hutton. Then with Chimbonda, Gilberto, Lee, Kaboul & Dawson as backup. There aint many better then that in the league. My only concern is the goalkeeper.

Now I love Robbo as much as the next loyal yid. The guy has indeared himself to us and is a great shot stopper. But If you gave me the choice of bringing in a World Class keeper behind, what looks like a rock of a defense, I would take it.

A great shot stopper as Robbo may be he dosent inspire me with confidence when I watch him, espcially on crosses. My heart say's keep Robbo cos he's Tottenham though and though but sorry, my head wants him replaced to compliment the others in-front of him :-|

My heart is torn after his keeping in the CC Final but i'm thinking next season here.

I'm Tottenham through and through as well, but you wouldnt want me playing keeper. He's a super guy, but we could get a better keeper.

Chelski fans were probably happy with Cudicini in goal a few years back but they brought in a world class keeper in Cech and he saves them points for sure. Woody and King are two of the best CB's in the prem, if not Europe, we are very lucky to have them

Is Cech the best example to use after yesterdays game?
