I was thinking about this earlier, who did you pretend to be when you were playing football as a youngster?

For me it was davie Cooper, a wand of a left foot and sadly taken from us well before his time.

First one was absolutely, 100%, no shadow of doubt, Jurgen Klinsmann.

Helped that I was 5 when he first signed for us and I watched a USA '94 summary show my dad had recorded and the season VHS of the '94-95 season literally hundreds of times.

In my eyes, I was Tony Galvin, a big, bustling unit haring down the wing, chipping in with the odd goal.

My team-mates agreed that I reminded them of a famous sporting figure, but rather than focus on the attributes above, they decided to concentrate on my poor stamina and dodgy balance.

So what did the ****s call me?
