Apologies if this has come up before but I haven't been paying all that much attention, but it is the matter of the contradictions of reports of how Manure scored their equalising goal against us, either through Tevez or an own goal by the one and only Dawsyndrome. The official site says it was an own goal. The BBC live text commentary has it down as a Dawson own goal and then made a 'correction' for it and had it as Tevez. The BBC match report had it as Tevez also. What does everyone else make of this? How could it be so unclear? This is trivial I know but I have to know. Was there any official confirmation reports anywhere on a reputable source like BBC Football or SSN? So disgraceful if it was Dawson I mean it just makes it all that much harder to take.

Really? It doesn't make any difference to me. Dawson didn't intentionally try and score an own goal. At the end of the day it doesn't change 1-1 - and before the game I bet most if not all would be well chuffed with a point.

2 points from Everton away and United at home - I'm taking that all the way home thank you very much.

To be honest, he had an imperious game and it's just one of those things that happens to defenders.

Tevez actually only made contact with the back of Dawsons leg. A foul if you ask me :shifty:

Well... does that take into account that you shoudl never really look at league position or sometimes (I said sometimes!) even form of other times?

Vs everton in the last few years we have won home and away bar a random 3 0 loss at home under jol and i think one other home loss (might be wrong).

United are a team that we generally perform against.

So were chelsea under mourinho.

give us west brom away a few seasons back though, and both spurs and arsenal may as well consider forfeiting and just taking a rest.

then again... are we really fighting for anything in the league? we can't get anywhere unless we go on a phenomenal winning streak

Of course you look at form. Eh? What are you trying to say? A team that's playing well oozes confidence - have you not noticed that we've started playing better after winning a few games?

Vs everton in the last few years we have won home and away bar a random 3 0 loss at home under jol and i think one other home loss (might be wrong).

Everton have beaten us in the last 2 years at the Lane. We seem to have a good record up there. Their home record before us was played 6, won 5 lost 1. That's pretty good. They are also 4th deservedly in the league and they play like a team.

United are a team that we generally perform against.

We've lost the last 7 home games against them before Saturday. Performance schmormance, we got a point on the board - and compared with how well they played against Portsmouth we played bloody well and if you went into that game with true expectations of getting something out, then you're a braver (and dare I say completely mentaller) man than me.

Then you could say it is also applicable to Dawson, as he celebrated as if he had scored Benrtners own goal in the semifinal of the CC.

Anyone notice Anderson's celebration? It's not that big of a deal and he was obviously caught up in the moment but from where i was standing it looked like he was provoking park lane about block 35. They didnt show it very well on MOTD, anyone in that area see it?

I was more concerned by Tevez being afforded the space he had and get infront of his marker then wheter or not he got the touch that diverted the ball home.

At the near post one of our men should have been first to that ball and it should have been out for a throw
