Hope we bring in Teddy, that mans footballing brain was incredible, just not sure whether he'd be able to pass on that intelligance to the younger players, especially if his football intelligance was more instinctive rather than something he learnt.

I Know he's already at the club, but how about Clive Allen as assistant manager, was really impressed by the team he selected for yesterdays match, especially with Huddelstone replacing Zokora.

Don't get too hasty. Anyone with a shread of knowledge about the PL could have picked that team over Ramos's.

What we don't need is someone coming in who is full of nothing but praise and bullshit and will exclaim what a fantastic side we've been over the past few years, we need someone who has quite obviously identified some of our flaws and is willing to step up and put money where thier mouths are. If this is Sherwood, who has actually shown a bit of passion when speaking of us, be it bitter or not, well, if he wants to put himself up for it then good luck to him. There aren't a lot of ex-player/commentators that have the balls to do that!

'Arry has already identified we need a bit more fight in midfield and is looking to sort that out with a couple of signings in January so if he feels he wants a former defensive midfielder with a bit of a nasty streak coaching them then all the better in my eyes. It'll also help players like Modric and Pavlyuchenko become more accustomed to the league by getting a rougher ride in training too.

It just feels good having a a bit more of a square peg for square hole about us than I ever thought I'd remember to be honest. I was all behind the methods Levy previously employed, but now, instead of debating with mates of the virtues and pitfalls of a continental system, a director of football, a head coach etc., it feels so much simpler.

I hope it's not Sherwood, he's a bellend.

You plonker, if you ever took the time to listen to what Sherwood has ever said when discussing football, you'll know he is very switched on, even though he sounds as if he's 'slagging off' Spurs, he's in fact saying what is wrong with the team.

Also, Roy Keane said that Sherwood was the toughest player he ever came up against, and we need a coach who will bring that kind of steel to our midfield !!!

I only caught the very end of Harry's interview on R5 at 7, but they definitely mentioned Sherwood, and I'm sure Harry said Sherwood was thinking about it. I wasn't really paying total attention though, so I might have misheard. He also said Clive would be staying put.

So it sounds like it's going to be Sherwood. Personally I'd like to see Teddy and Darren Anderton back at the club. And how about bringing back Gazza as well? I'm sure he could teach the Taarabt a few things.

There is a strong rumour that 90's hero Darren Anderton has been offered a role as our new fitness coach.

As I said before Peter Taylor would be a good choice to work with us in some capacity. Very experienced, good technical coach, excellent track record of working successfully with England u-21's and ex Spurs too. Could be a great shout as either reserve team coach or given the job of developing our Academy which has not been a great success to date.
