Where do you think we will finish now?

I think we'll get 4th, but there are so many variables at play here that makes anywhere between 3-6th possible.

Cup fixtures are going to play their part, particularly European games and we are lucky to have drawn Lyon which isn't a massively draining trip and whilst going out of the Fa Cup wasn't enjoyable, the positive aspect is that we have less games now until the end of the season whilst our direct rivals do.

Gareth Bale's fitness is obviously a big factor, I don't think we'll sink without him, but the form he's in at the moment if he gets injured then it's a massive loss. I think we have to be sensible here, and that means maybe leaving him on the bench in some games as we need to keep the guy fit and fresh. We will also struggle if Parker gets injured too - he must be kept fit and fresh.

If we get 4th, AVB has done a hell of a job with the circumstances he has faced - but the key for me is if we did drop off and finished 5th/6th then we recognise that the building blocks have been put in place for a successful future - bloody chuffed with AVB.

Exactly the way I see it to Shelfie.

5th: we haven't quite got the goals in the team that the Scum and the Chavs have to just nose us over the line. Think it will only be by a point or two though, which would actually make finishing 5th even more painful.

If we want 4th, we need to start putting together some routs. 2+ goal wins. We've got a few matches where that could be possible, yet. But, that would also most likely require an in-form Adebayor.

To be honest I think we'll do West Ham by a couple. Didn't want to say it but I'm certainly thinking it. Bale with a free role, doing damage up the center will give West Ham a massive problem. They'll come at us which will totally play into our hands as well. I think we'll win by a couple after a scrappy opening period where they try to get on top but fail.

Looking forward to it.

I really should know better, but I have had a feeling for a while that we will finish third. Even though our April fixtures look brutal, even though we won't have Sandro, and even though I've been there too often to be surprised if it all goes pear-shaped. There just seems to be something about us this season that makes me think that we won't do the almost-traditional spring choke.

Third it is. Stand on me.

Citeh are too strong to lose 2nd. I just hope the heart has gone out of them by the time they come to the Lane...
United will stroll to the title with a very average team. You have got to hand it to Fergie there. One has to assume that Citah's gang of mercs (sorry, we call them "contractors" now) will lose interest now that the title race is essentially over; they get their paychecks either way. How Chelsea will go is harder to predict. I have a feeling Arsenal will finish strongly. I think Everton will probably fade.

And us ? That is the hardest one to predict, even after the many thousands of hours we have all spent analyzing every aspect of the team...I would think somewhere between 2 and 6 is pretty certain. The fact we have hard games left is irrelevant - if you look at our results, we do as well against the top as the bottom teams in general.

I haven't got the skills to insert the statto 2 year table, but we are 3rd over the last 64 games. No reason why we can't be 3rd after 76 games. It's going to be close and therefore tough to predict but we have a shout. Lets enjoy the ride.

I kind of agree. I don't think we'll choke at all under AVB - no chance. If we miss out it will be agonisingly close, but I don't think we will.

Any result will help this weekend between City and Chelsea but a draw would be lovely. I actually think, providing they don't win, that City could well be dragged into this race now. They don't look like they've got the fight.

Regarding our UCL qualification though a City win will do just fine :)

Any result suits really - but a draw would be my choice.

Yeah mine to but I don't think I would be comfortable with a win for the chavs. Lets qualify for UCL before worrying about 2nd is my preference at the moment, therefore a city win or a draw for me.
