From Dortmund forum
Worst case. Das Schwerste Los und Son kann gegen uns immer aus 33 m treffen
icon_mad.gif
. Egal hauen wir die halt weg.
"The most difficult draw. Son always scores against us from 33m away."
"In their current form, the most difficult opponent one could've gotten. I find it not so bad as one has to beat all to win. Annoys me though that the first tie is at home"

and finally the quote of the day:
Gary Lineker:
2 footballing Giants have been drawn together in the Europa league as Dortmund face Spurs. Elsewhere Manchester United take on Liverpool.
:ROFLMAO:

Whoa... whoa... there! Let's back up a bit... Just purely for my own clarification.... You of presumably sound, body and mind... of your own free will and volition...... Of all the football teams in all the world......

You chose to support Tottingham Hotspur...

Hmmmm.... A curious case indeed.

Have you ever suffered with issues of low self worth, displayed masochistic tendencies, or maybe harboured thoughts of self harm?

Clearly a rather acute case of impeccable taste. Highly infectious, the victim is likely to suffer from the (very) occasional high followed by sustained periods of agonizing lows and excruciating attacks of optimism. Take 2 or 3 90 minute sessions a week until the symptoms start to disappear.

N.B. Always read the label and use strictly as directed. Do not exceed recommended daily dose. If symptoms persist or you have adverse side effects such as sore throat, swelling or numbness, seek professional help!

I chose Spurs as well. Most say that it is because I am a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, that the fit was just too natural. I made the right decision with THFC.

I'm one of the international supporters, and I did a bunch of "research" before choosing Spurs. As an American, I have gotten fed up with sport in the states. Everything is about the money and not the sport anymore. I grew up playing football, but with such little exposure in the states and the MLS being pretty terrible to watch until recently, I decided to look for a club to support in European football. The first few years supporting Spurs were a little hard as we weren't very good, but with much more experience in watching all of European football I can honestly say I think I made the best choice. I'm proud to be an (international) Lilywhite!

Glad to have you on board my friend :)

Spurs and Arsenal are beginning to appear tired because of the games they've been playing lately. Two wingers for me, to try and get them chasing with tired legs. I normally would play with one winger though, as you can't attack down two sides at the same time, but for the next two fixtures we have to try to get the opposition moving about.

Hope they do this, as they will give us more space through the center

Not sure where they get the idea that we look tired. We just brushed off Fiorentina with ease

Not to mention the fact that he's talking about wingers, and the full-backs that will start tomorrow have had a full weeks rest. They're hardly going to be fatigued...

I am from Singapore and I have supported Spurs since 2006, wouldn't exactly call myself a glory hunter either as well

I am from the Lion City as well. Glory Hunter I am not. Been supporting Spurs since the last FA Cup win in 91 against Forest.

Nobody gonna tell me I am a fair weather fan and a glory hunter at that. I remembered the 90s when a Wembley final was deem the season high point. Usually the season would end by Feb, knocked out of both cups and languishing in mid-table.

This is from a Dortmund fan site...

"I would like us to draw Spurs or United. A dream come true if we eliminate one of the rich boys and later watch them lick their wounds, while splashing out yet another monstrous 150 mil. for mediocre players."

After the draw he said...

"My wish came true. We are facing Spurs. About time we made a sugar daddy club cry again."

Now I don't often get pissed off by opposition fan comments but this has fucked me off to the point of wanting to embarrass myself and sign up to their shitty fan page and put them straight that we are not a "sugar daddy" club in fact we are quite the opposite. Maybe @Mullers would be best to put them straight on Mr Levy's spending :D. Does this fuck anyone else off to be put in the same bracket as United, City, Liverpool etc?
I am sure you would get more pleasure from it than I would. The best payback is to beat them I reckon.

Yes in principle... Alas it doesn't cure idiocy. If the fan in question thinks we're bankrolled by a sugar daddy then they'll brush off any defeat as meaningless.

Guess one just has to ignore it...

Not isolated though, couple of guys at work here in Germany say the same. "oh used to like Tottenham, but then they became just another rich club and spent lots of money on average players".

Had to correct them.

Yes I have been watching a lot of Arsenal Fan TV and have issues but Imo better than any scripted comedy out there!! Hilarious people

I lived in Bavaria in the 90s, was a bit of a Bayern fan as my Kraut friend's dad took is to a few games. I eventually moved back to the states and following the Bundesliga was impossible. Started watching Premier League in 2001, I vaguely remembered Klinsmann but that's not what cemented the connection for me.

No, it was having a German and American on the team that gave me a way to feel connected with the club from a few thousand miles away. The two who started my love affair with the club?

Christian Ziege and Kasey Keller.

So yeah, probably not my most well thought out decision, but it always draws a laugh when meeting fellow supporters.
