even many of the wretches on their sordid little forum are begrudgingly admitting that our front 4 is better.
I'd love to know what Spurs forum is saying West Ham have a better front 4 than us.

I'd have Bowen from them and maybe Paqueta but that's it. Neither would be certain starters.

Shame they can’t have the Paqueta-Rice combo any more - could have been special

In particular on current form, Paqueta would start, maybe Bowen too.

Son and Johnson would start - Maddison and Deki on form too. But you’d question their form

Interesting that a few of them bring up how we were the better side in the reverse fixture. Did not think I'd ever hear a West Ham fan say such a thing. Poor bastards must really be suffering after Newcastle.

Anyone who saw the game can't honestly think anything different.

We absolutely battered them and somehow still lost it:
  • 75% possession
  • 717 completed passes (they had 184)
  • 23 shots (they had 11)

Remember leaving the ground in a dazed disbelief unsure how we'd managed to lose it

  • Always my favourite home game of the season.
Although 8 15 ko not my preferred time
    1-3 is my prediction
  • I can see either team getting smashed, if we turn up and they don't they will be calling for the Aussies head on a stick . Same if the rolls are reversed.
  • It's definitely not Phillips. I hope he never plays for us again. Liability
  • If we sent both Moyes and Phillips on gardening leave we could have a chance
  • Easily the least important game of the next six.
  • Not for me

  • Said no West Ham fan. Ever.
  • A mostly artificial rivalry which mainly exists in their tiny minds.

  • Do we have a better front four? We certainly don't have better depth.
Son, Richarlison, Maddison, Kulusevski. Then they also have Werner, Johnson and Solomon.
When we sub off any of our front four what have we got?
  • even many of the wretches on their sordid little forum are begrudgingly admitting that our front 4 is better.
  • There's three main possibilities.
Spurs play great and wipe the floor with us.
Moyes goes into defensive mode & we lose a drab game.
We play great & lose because of dodgy Ref/VAR decisions.
Either way, I just can't be bothered with this game at the moment.
Good luck to all of you lot going to the game. I might go cycling
  • Rare outing with my son to the bowl for this one. Looking forward to it. Be good to mug them off again ⚒
  • How can you not be up for this game ? Yes Saturday was depressing but that's football and now we play our biggest rival currently
  • We have much bigger fish to fry than this one, this time.
Still, it'll be a cup final for them for a number of reasons.
  • I have an uneasy feeling about this one.
Maddison returning to fitness is not good for us in a match where our only bespoke DM is suspended.
The centre of our defence is leaky and low on form and, sorry to say this, but I think Fabianski behind them will erode further their confidence.
It's a question of can we outscore our visitors? A clean sheet would, for me, be a miracle, given the way we've played recently
  • I really hope Mikes up for this and gives Van der ven and the animal Romero a battering. He's a walking red card and with Iron Mike all over him there's a good chance he'll walk
  • We have no chance if a clean sheet but with their high line we have a chance !
  • West Ham 1-4 Spurs.
...grats to them on their cup final win
  • Couldn’t care less about the upcoming f*** ing German game at the moment go all guns blazing against these c****
    3-1
  • Not feeling massively confident, in theory at least Postecoglu football should give Moyes lots to work with.
Going to be loads of room for Bowen and Kudus with our full backs high, so it will likely come down to who wins the midfield
The lack of self-awareness and delusion of this lot is astounding and never ceases to amaze. They project their own thinking onto Spurs fans. This is what makes our often toothless displays against them so infuriating because it reinforces their delusion. They lift themselves tremendously when playing us, but we are often so nonchalant against them that they think we find them intimidating and our biggest rivals.

It would be great if we can show up and give them a good hiding.

Gentle Ben played centre back for us that fateful night in December and Maddison was also out injured

I’d also assume Micky vdV will play tonight.

There's a difference between being in better form and being better though.

Not saying their front four isn't good, but the odd player aside, I wouldn't say their front four is better at all.

I also moved to Essex for high school, so definitely feel the rivalry more than a lot of Spurs fans, but it's nowhere near cup final, and doesn't come close to Arsenal.

It is bloody annoying when they beat us though, and I'm gonna be well pissed off if they win after getting up at 3am to watch it tomorrow!

The classic gaslighting 'it's our cup final match but let's say it's their cup final'. Bless them. Maybe try it when you finish above us and then it might make sense. Unless these post were yesterday then it's just good old April Fools stuff.

Absolutely gifted them two shite goals too. The least deserved win I’ve ever seen. Utter smash and grab.

Yeah, I agree.
There's not really much between our front 4's to he honest, theirs are maybe on better current form but long-term (or historically), ours are probably the better and more productive players.

I like Kudus, and Pacqueta but the only one I'd probably take is Bowen.
It's a close call though and fan bias is bound to creep in.

Antonio doesn't even get into the conversation.

Kudus would be superb in our system as a wide forward and by extension, a preference to any of Deki, Johnson, Werner et al.

Paqueta really makes them tick and you only have to look to a win/loss stats when he's fit to underline that point but there's again an argument to be had over whether he would be a better fit (ability wise) over Maddison here.

Antonio rightly is discounted in this debate.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind Kudus but I'm not sure I'd have him over BJ but that's probably down to my bias and having watched Johnson more than Kudus.
Paqueta though, as good as he is, just gets on my tits and that's my only reason for not wanting him. 😁

Wasn't even smash and grab. It was us dying on our own sword and handing our hearts to them. We completely bossed them. I'm optimistic about tonight
