SA_Gunner is going to do a deep analysis of us tonight, should be a good read and no doubt by the end of it we will all benefit of the great footballing knowledge he has..............in South Africa. Been promoted to a moderator on there too. Thought you'd have to be over 18 to be a mod, but there you are.
- SA_Gunner - Having a proper look at Sp**s again tonight. You can see where their strengths come from, they entice the press and use that to gain central access. Failing which they will look to go more direct with with longer passes either down the halfspaces, or over the opposition. Because of their narrow shape in their build up phase, they naturally pull Palace narrow and create space out wide, but they also concede spaces out wide as well. A cat and mouse game in those areas for whoever has the ball. Clever from Ange, he creates that possible vulnerability in transition, to keep the game open and flowing. Should be an interesting watch tonight, the team who scores first here will dictate this game I feel.
- Palace have started really well, have had the better chances. Vicario looks solid in goal though.
- Title favourites dominating field tilt but no goal so far

- Sp**s play with the likeability of Chelsea, diving ****s...but with the recent trophy cabinet of Brentford ffs, imagine supporting such vile bunch of players (Says the fan of Jesus, Martinelli and Saka who carry on like this every game)
- SA_Gunner - Sp**s arent title favourites man, not with this type of ball. Its far too chaotic. You can see where Arteta was coming from, going with the same high pressing strategy at the Emirates. If you limit Sp**s' build up play and ability to get the out ball, you've got them. I've noticed that Vicario doesnt go long much, and that could be a limitation to his game (I stand corrected on this one). Teams are thus happy to push their lines up and pressure them as a result. This could also be a ploy from Ange, to bring them up to create space. I will say though that Sp**s' ability to recover ground and hunt the ball back is great. Its very energy sapping, but works well.
- Sp**s will probably win, but they have been absolute dog ****. Palace are toothless.
- This is the story of the entire season so far lol

- That wasn't transition. That was Ward being absolute **** in every action. He gets beaten 3 times in that one attack.
- SA_Gunner - I see it on the replay now, that was poor defensive work from both Anderssen and Ward. But they were out of shape there, and got caught cold in the end.

- Sp**s ended up playing us with Timber/Partey/Rice/Martinelli/Saka/Jesus all missing by the last 15 minutes of our game, here without Olise and Eze. Liverpool decisions, got battered by United in the first half and they should have had a pen. Mad the luck they have had, tbh. Their downfall is gonna be sweet

- SA_Gunner - Nah they wont, their game is too limited and intensive for them to maintain consistency for an entire season. ust look at how the run back to recover posession for example. That's going to wear them out soon enough.

- SA_Gunner - They definitely wont, you can just see it by this game alone. There's no way you concede so many chances on your goal, and think you can keep getting away with Hollywood style saves. They arent defending properly enough, and arent controlling spaces well enough.
- But when we win away at Palace, its a great result at a difficult ground.
- Good to see one team in North London employs an attacking style. We got the billion in transfers Tony Pulis on the Red side of town.
- Are we Mercenary United, if you go on Redcafe all the tossers on there think teams try extra hard and save their best only for United because they are so special. Arteta is already laying the groundwork for his next injury excuse. You got to get on the cultist party line of blaming injuries
- SA_Gunner - Do you think Palace will press us, or push their lines up like they do here? Go back and watch the highlights of our game there. Teams will never give us such space, we'll absolutely destroy them. Ask PSV.
- SA_Gunner - Its not about saving their best game, its about us getting the space that Sp**s get. Teams do also sit in a midblock against us, but they dont give a damn about attacking when it comes to Arsenal. Especially now that they cant counter attack either.
- SA_Gunner - (playing one game a week) We technically did the same last year, its not enough if you dont have the squad. They look set for top 4 though, I think outside of City, Liverpool and ourselves they look good. Newcastle, Villa and Brighton should be able to compete with them.

- I'm not worried a bit. Sp**s dont even look like Leicester when they won the league. They look way way way worse. They are playing pure garbage and it is not sustainable. It will come and bite them in the ass soon enough.
- Our squad and quality will win out over the course of the season, but i do think they attack slightly better than us at the moment (even with the lucky own goal). Son and Maddison are on fire.
- They have some kind of momentum going for them result wise but most of the times I dont think they are impressive at all. We have our own struggles to overcome for sure but I find our base level much higher than theirs. Would be catastrophic accident if we dont end higher than them.
- I agree, I don't see anything impressive myself. A couple of individuals are excellent and the rest are just there. Our defense is better that's for sure. They too reliant on one or two guys to be a serious threat for me.
