Hating Chelsea's like hating someone at work. Hating Arsenal is like hating your ex. Much worse, never going to be patched up and it's always going to be there at the back of your mind.
This is true - can’t stand both clubs but the true test is: who do you want to win between the 2 in, say, a cup final? I want Arsenal to lose every time!

Arsemania:

"Someone does Mourinho looking to heaven and asking how he is doing, and Arteta answering "You're doing great son"! "

Such a strange comment considering we're top of the league.

And Arteta isn’t dead.

Apart from that, it’s hilarious.

Chel$kum:

Spurs have the best defence in the league and played unambitiosly today.

I think we saw again that we are perhaps still a little horse as far as the title race is concerned. Still positive signs. A clean sheet against a good team is nothing to sneeze at.

We are contenders if we beat Spurs, a draw doesn't do much good when comes to title chasing.

We should have won this today, no doubts about it. We have grown accustomed to these type of performances and this year we finally have a team capable of competing but Frank is afraid to let them loose. Tammy was utterly dreadful today in a big game yet again. Giroud was give 10 minutes and Werner was subbed instead of the dreadful Tammy.

The defence done its job today but the manager didn’t do his, unless he’s happy with a point against Spurs at home.

We still haven’t won a single big game yet this season.

Not a terrible result and I’m not too disappointed because it was so predictable Jose would play for a 0-0.
There is a bit of concern about how we go into our shell against better sides and lack at the moment the ability to win games like this with a bit of magic like we did in the past. For example, Slot costa or Drogba of old up front and we win that.

They were setup to hit us on the counter, Jose will obviously be happy with a 0-0 before the game, that's typical Jose. But I think Spurs fans will be very disappointed with how bad they were going forward. We kept them out of the game, especially in that 2nd half, they only had that opportunity from Zouma and that was it, completely outplayed them.

City also outplayed them and created many chances, but they couldn't defend against them or keep them quiet. We managed to do both, it's just unfortunate we didn't get the 3 points. But I'm taking away the positives from this performance, defensively we are much better than I expected.

Battered them, should've won that tbh, but I'll take a 0-0

If Frank bemoans dropping points today he only has himself to blame; everyone knew how Spurs will set up and in the end he failed to make changes to change the game...oh well one point is better than none I guess.

Ducking dreadful again once more against a decent side.

It seems we will beat the fodder of the league and sh*tfest games against decent teams. f**king brutal.

That Spurs team was there for the beating.

We always knew Jose would come and do what he just did so am not surprised he is playing the long game don't lose to your direct rivals away win at home.
He's not the same Jose of 10 years ago but he's still a clever manager

Battered us? Nah, not having that. I think we had the better of the first half, them second half.

No way did they batter us, or completely outplay us.

Draw was fair imo. Take our two mistakes out and they created feck all.

Arsenal fans I’ve spoken too seem to be writing next week off. I think it’s just to save face to be honest. Feels like Groundhog Day when fans think that Derby’s are set in stone due to form.

It will be 50/50 and either result wouldn’t surprise me. I think we will beat Liverpool though.

How many saves did Lloris make in the two games? One at the end of the City game no? That's not battering a team. We prevented chances from taking place.

They showed more ambition but certainly didnt batter us. I think they were too concerned with our counter which also meant they had to play slightly within themselves. That was clear

battered us? really?

in terms of chances, not much between the two teams - the only ones i can recall are a Mount long range vs an Aurier long range, and an stoppage time chance for Giroud and one for GLC, both of which they should have done better with

Bet more Spurs fans hate Chelsea than they do Arsenal.

I think geography comes into this a bit.

I'd imagine those living within say 10 miles of WHL (maybe more) feel the Arsenal hatred more because it is so local.

Personally, having grown up in Surrey/South London area, as a Spurs fan I had to live with bloody obnoxious armchair Chelsea fans (even though Palace was the local team), and seriously, my hatred of this lot goes way way back to school days in the 70's. Place was full of the mouthy twats and not one of them ever went to The Bridge.

So yes, Chelsea as hatred, Arsenal as rivalry for me.

Yeah that's me too. I grew up in Harrow, which had loads of Chelsea, way more than Arsenal. Very thuggy, all the score bullies were Chelsea.

Whereas my dad was born in the era of going to Spurs one week, Arsenal the other, and grew up inbetween. Him and his brother were Spurs, but his brother's kids are Arsenal. I have quite a few Arsenal mates, it's defo rivalry and it goes over the edge sometimes, but for me at least there's a sense of historical camaraderie.

But I appear to have chosen to not know many Chelsea fans after my youth, and tend to really not like them when it's introduced.

Red Cafe:
(frivolous attempt to steer back on topic)

Had a little chuckle at the BBC report currently up, one about Moutinho saying they're a pony in the title horse race.

"This is the first time Tottenham have finished a day top of the league after 10 or more games since January 1985."

Do Spurs fans ever just sit back and take a deep breath and wonder how it's got to the situation where if you don't win it this season it will be 60 long years since Spurs last won the league title.

Since 60/61 season amount of league titles won by these clubs:

Man. United- 14 titles
Liverpool- 14
Arsenal- 6
Chelsea- 5
Man. City- 5
Everton- 4
Leeds- 3
Derby County- 2
Aston Villa - 1
Forest- 1
Ipswich- 1
Blackburn- 1
Leicester 1

Some spurs fan on there (own up if it's you): Not really no

Villa Fan:
Really? I'm a bit embarassment my club hasn't won FA cup since 1957 and it's a running joke on our forum of "it's our year" like now just before 3rd round cup draw.

Did Spurs just lack good managers in 70s and 80s as they were always competitive and winning plenty of cup competitions in those times.

Yeah spot on tbh.

Grew up near Cardiff in the 70/80s. Those friends who were interested in football (primarily rugby in my area) were Liverpool fans. Ergo fricking hate Liverpool with a passion. Arsenal I'm not that bothered with other as a figure of fun at present.

I do not understand other fans thinking City and Chelsea "battered" us. They both played right into Jose's hands. City went perfectly and Chelsea we missed our few chances we created due to bad passing/decision making in the final third. But in terms of us defending vs their attacking, both games went exactly as Jose would have wanted. Chelsea's best chances were a shot from distance by Mount (not a good chance) and the mistake by Rodon that Hugo saved (good chance created by our error) they did not create anything.

The City game I cannot think of any good chances? Teams will look at stats and think they controlled the game but this is how Jose has always liked it and how we get results.
