Comparing apples and pears. Tanguy isn't a flop, he hasn't met exceptions yet but he isn't a rebrov or Bentley. If he is sold or leaves without reaching his potential then you could argue he's a flop.
At this moment, he is an undoubted flop. But he is still at the club, and clearly has the talent, so can still turn it around. Personally, I don't think it's going to happen, but I'm keen to see what Nuno makes of him. Maybe Nuno can do what Poch and Mourinho failed to, and get the best out of Ndombele?

It's arguably a similar story with Pepe at Arsenal: huge fee, huge talent, but so far hugely unfulfilled.

Seriously Hank? I love this club and I want it to be successful. That’s why I have season tickets. But we can’t be successful as a club if we spend our money badly.

Spurs bought Tanguy for £55 million in July 2019. Since then he has contributed a total of 8 goal and 10 assists.

ManU bought Bruno for £54 million in Jan 2020. Since then he has contributed 40 goals and 25+ assists. That’s in six month less than Tanguy has been at spurs. Same fee.

there have been real questions raised about Tanguy’s willingness and application. His output has not been good enough to justify his transfer fee and his status as one of the club’s highest paid players. And as someone who loves this club, I’m not afraid to call him out and say it.
What an idiotic comparison two totally different players...Lo Celso was the player we went for instead of Fernandes not Ndombele.

As far as I am concerned, we dont have any opponents until 13th of august

I occasionally like to self harm by popping over to RAWK to see what they are saying. This time I was intrigued to hear their footballing expertise on Harry Kane's performances at the Euros.

Well - as you can imagine both him and Sterling are diving cheats and Pickford has short arms and is shit. A sizeable chunk of them don't really want England to win because of those 3 players and Maguire but I guess they could be football fans from other countries.

One comment that made me chuckle was ' If England win, Jordan Henderson will be the only English player to win the Champions League, The Premier League and The European Championships.'

I mean its a great footballing achievement but its not a thing!

If you watch the following skit, you'll note that the news is being read by a beaver. That's because the nickname of Paços' de Ferreira, whom we're due to meet in the Conference League, is, I kid you not, the Beavers.

You'll also note that Paços appear incredibly confident in their ability to beat us, not to mention mildly dismissive of our standing as a giant in the London football scene.

TBF to them - that's a lot more entertaining than the usual sanitised, corporate-PR drivel most clubs put out.

Well placed to make a dam out of their tears when they get severely fisted, then :D

About time this beautiful thread reared its head again. Feels like forever since we've had some opposition fans' tears to feast on. :sneaky:
