At West Ham Ferdinand's form was quite good. Sunderland tried to make him in to a better defender and failed. Unfortunately, unless you are outstanding you will never make an impression in a poor defence. However, as a back up to our defenders and to play cup games for us when others shouldn't be, it is not a bad shout.

Also if any manager can turn him in to a good player, it's Harry.

I'd be worried if it was perm, but it's only a loan.

He has said its 100% done deal on loan though....what I mean is there's none of this hmming or hawwing "dont shoot the messenger" bollox, no maybe or might be.

A year ago when we were linked with him I wasn't very impressed. However, when you look at what 'Arry's done with so many players in our squad and look at our CB woes this deal could work out a lot better than many people imagine.
