Can't see how we'd be buying Kranjcar AND Petrov - surely only room in the squad for one or other of them, unless we see several of our current midfielders depart?

I thought Petrov was with Berbs for their International game?

Petrov on loan?

Bale on loan?

Hope it's not for us, and more because he's going off with Bulgaria and they are meeting there before going away

I would take Petrov on loan.
Then get Kranjcar for around 2mil, which would be an absolute Bargain.

Both Krancjar and Petrov are very good Premiership players that would without question improve our squad. Petrov is a very quick left footed international winger that generally puts in a better cross than Lennon. He is better than Downing or Young as a left sided forward IMO. Not too sure how good he is defensively though. Downside is that he has had a couple of long term injuries in the past (missed almost all of last season) and is not the youngest option. But when fit gives us an option that we do not have at the moment.

If Hughes is trying to get Bentlry, then Petrov in return is a good deal if we seal the Krancjar deal as well. Gio and Lennon and Krancjar for the right, Petrov, Krancjar and Modric for the Left (plus Gio). We might lose Pav as well so Gio will probably fufill the role of 4th striker. I think both Petrov and Krancjar are good signings and for the monies pondered on the sites none too shabby business.

There is no way Gio is in Harry's plans and it's very unlikely Bentley is either.

hope it doesnt mean bentley leaving

Ditto.

I'm not convinced that improving the squad of one of your key rivals for is such a good idea. All the money Arsenal made from City in transfer dealings this summer won't stack up so much, should they be the team Arsenal lose out on the Champions League pot too.

I'd be fine for them to gazump Pompey for KPB though.

For 39m I think it does. Nice profit on Toure and replaced him with an impressive player with more years ahead of him. Nearly 30m still in the bank. That would see them through a year without CL football.

"but I dare say that Tottenham is bigger than Manchester City"

At least Berbasulk hasn't completely lost the plot. Bet he wishes he was coming back to us.
