A while back Jamie Reknapp on Sky said that his dad's first criteria for any player is pace. Seen him play but didn't strike me as pacey.

Plus this may show why he doesn't seem to want Bentley.

Just strikes me as Chimbonda part 2. Sure he isn't expensive but he isn't going to push us forward or even come close to playing once Modric is healthy so why take on his wages when we just got rid of Chimbonda's?

We have enough talent on the bench that a 6-8 week injury shouldn't turn us into nervous nelly's buying any player that Harry used to coach.

I hope this works out but just doesn't seem like it is needed.
