If we have genuine ambitions of breaking the top four we need real competition for places and that means keeping David Bentley. Selling him now would be madness, we're worried about losing Luka to injury but imagine how we'd feel if we sold Bentley then Lennon got injured.

How can a fee of £14-16 million be quoted if we're loaning Bentley to them?

The only way the original ITK makes sense is if we're selling them Bentley for £14-16 million and getting Petrov on loan for the season as part of the deal.

If it's a really sweet deal, Citeeh may even be paying Petrov's massive wages.

If we get Krancjar then i don't see why we would need Petrov... if we're going to deal with them then why not try to take a CM off them. Kompany would be a great addition to our squad, he'd give us cover for Palacios and then if need be could play both away against top 4...?
