Our first done deal ITK before the deadline. Even if the price is wrong, i'm happy either way. A good quality sigining who will cover the best he can for Modric. Then when Super Luka returns we'll be very creative in midfield. Just need cover for Palacios really.

In the next transfer window he'll have only a few months left on his contract and no ones gonna pay much for him. Every other club knows that after that, he walks and they get nothing. If he's indicated he's not willing to sign a deal then I could see £2m being plausible - still a total bargain though!

This is the bit that worries me now, should have been done ages ago. Not interested in a GK, Cudicini will so the business, and how far away is Gomes anyway? Constant talk of Chavez being picked up, so that's LB/CB cover, just that domineering midfield enforcer we're missing, maybe that Anin guy will rock up on a last minute loan after his trial the other week, not sure he's the answer, but on a loan it's worth a punt. As for the talk of Bentley/Petrov swap, I can take it or leave it, though to be honest Bentley probably a way better bet with Crouch to aim for.
Fingers crossed that if this is tied up today, then we still have time to pin down that DM.
