Speaking on his podcast, prominent Leeds United journalist Phil Hay has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur hold an interest in Illan Meslier. Spurs have built quite an exciting young core in north London over the past 18 months, and it seems as though they’re now eyeing Meslier up as their future number one.

Of course, Hugo Lloris has been Spurs’ first-choice keeper for over a decade now, but at the age of 35, the clock is ticking on the Frenchman’s career.

Tbh I too see him as a potential successor to Lloris but I also feel Lloris can play on easily for another 5 years, he has the perfect build for a keeper.

Its a good shout, you don't see many young players getting the time and experience that he has as first choice in the prem. Its good to see us investing in some decent young players, it bodes well for the future & its something we need to keep up.

Not last season, but the season before, I remember him being pretty suspect at whl.

I think it's reactions more than build. But I agree it looks like Hugo isn't done yet.
