Tom Carroll Getting Bigger?

Just looking through some of the pre-season training photographs and i'm pretty sure the lad has grown a few inches taller and broader since we last saw him in action. Anyone else notice this?

Didn't he say he tried this before and it killed his agility and mobility; hopefully he's learnt to work with it as this was my one problem with him.... Praying we give him a lot of time this season and don't buy McCarthy

On a side note, people been saying Carroll is a bit too lightweight but he's not looking too bad here, maybe being doing a bit of extra work at the gym?

it's definitely something he needed to do and the summer break was the perfect time to do it. he's obviously a hard weight gainer(i'm the same) and it's just not possible to bulk up during the season while he's doing so much intense training/cardio. i really hope he gets a good amount of playing time next season, i'd be so disappointed if we pay silly money for james mccarthy when we have a perfectly good player(and one of our own) already here.

Spot on. He looks more solid. He's hardly a Mr. Universe but he looked almost child-like in his frame. Hoping it gives him a good base to work from. He's a lovely little footballer and club-trained to boot.

Less of the smug "oooh, I just can't put weight on" next time though eh, Blake.

He must have grow a few cm as well, stood next to Townsend they look the same height now. Definitely bulked up a bit in addition, no loan this season please...

He's 21, there's a strong chance he's still going through his final stages of growing.

Since Ledley retired we have needed a genuine homegrown first teamer!

Would be even nicer if it wasn't another CB. Although maybe we could have both is Caulker develops as well.

Hopefully our injury woes are spread out a bit more. It was ridiculous how it seemed to target a specific position at time last season. Meant we constantly have to shuffle more players than was ideal. If we don't have to contend with that then I'd hope that Carroll would get meaningful time out there when the squad is rotated.

Bit worried about Caulker. He was great for Swansea and looked good for us but AVB doesn't fancy him!

Andre is married so keeps his feelings in check but I've heard rumours he's often caught starring ;-)
